Msi vr600x won't start.

Remove power unit, battery, RAM and hard drive. Press the power button to discharge any energy that is left.
Insert the power plug and press power. If the laptop goes to the start screen, the motherboard is probably OK. remove the power supply. Add the RAM and repeat. Then do it again adding the hard drive.
There will be a point when the faulty item is identified or it will now boot.

Bios boot screen comes up

Bios Boot Screen? OK, You don't boot from the Bios, the Bios has settings to let you control where to boot from the Hard Drive, the DvD/CD drive, the USB Port or a LAN (Local Area Network). So, what exactly is your screen showing when you press the Power Button to boot it?

Possible hard drive failure

Does the splash screen come up? Most of the time if it is your hard drive the ACER splash screen will come up and then a Hard disk 0 error after that. If nothing appears on the screen then you have a bigger issue.

Is there any noise at all (Fan, hard drive spinning)? If so try hooking it to a external monitor to see if there is any movement. You might have a problem with your LCD.

Gateway T-1625 Laptop won't boot up - screen blank

Yes, if the CPU/motherboard will not POST (Power On Self Test), then changing the CPU is the only thing that you have not tried.

Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437 will not boot up...

Take out the hard drive completely and then see if you hear the clicking noise, if you do then that means the hard drive is bad. Also if it goes right to another message and you don't see the blinking cursor then that also verifies that the hard drive was bad and causing the system to hang.

The power light comes on but thats it

You may have faulty RAM or it is not making comtact properly. Remove your RAM and insert/reseat it again, try borrowing some RAM to test your laptop.
Your CPU may be faulty.
Can you hear the hard drive spin up?
If nothing works, you have a piece of junk, if the hard drive is OK you can put into a USB case/adapter and use it as an external hard drive for backups and data transfer.

Acer Aspire 5010.. Power on, but Blank screen/ hard drive light also not.

Hi,
This could be a Power/Switch Problem.
Faulty Hard-Drive.
Solution:- Leave the laptop turned Of And charge the battery to Full Capacity. ( usually between 4-16 Hours ) depending on capacity.
This will also fully charge the CMOS ( memory battery )
then boot the laptop up, and see if this solves your problem.
If not i,d suggest running a scandisk or hard-drive diagnostic program, to ensure that you have no Viruses-bad sectors on the hard-drive.
If you need further assistance please don,t hesitate to ask for more help and advice.

No power-up

See if this helps-
Unplug the power adapter. Remove the battery. Plug in the power adapter. Attempt to power up.
If that doesn't work-
Power down. Remove the hard drive and CD drive, also floppy drive if you have one. Disconnect the cables to any external devices that you might have attached. Remove all of the memory cards. Replace 1 memory card in the main slot, only. This will reseat the memory card. Power back up and see if the system comes up to a BIOS screen. If not, and you have more than 1 memory card, try swapping to the other memory card. If BIOS comes up, start reinstalling each item (Hard drive first) one at a time, attempting to bring the system up after each item is installed. If the BIOS screen doesn't come up with everything disconnected, you'll need to disconnect the LCD screen (internally) and hook up an external screen. If BIOS shows up on the external monitor at this time, you have a bad LCD screen.
If nothing in this process seems to work, you probably have a bad mother board.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Thanks!
Ron-
