First make sure there isn't a physical hardware switch that is turned off. second if you have some time, and don't mind hard wiring the computer for a bit, you can download teamviewer here: http://www.teamviewer.com/download/version_7x/TeamViewerQS.exeand email me the user name and password and I can remote in and take a look at the configuration.

Go down to the bottom right of your screen and click on your internet icon. See if it says connected or not....(looks like a staircase). Some wireless lights on laptops are orange....mine is.

SOURCE: HP pavilion dv6700 won't down load it says there is a virus and closes

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode With Networking then Download and Install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal.

Once you are booted up into Safe Mode With Networking open your internet browser.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

HP Pavillion dv6700 - won't power up

Hello. The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty. If you move/wiggle the hp pavilion dv6700 power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem. The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable. If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.Hope this helps.

How do i connect an hp officejet printer to a wireless laptop

Download and install the drivers & software necessary for your printer from HP's website (www.hp.com) on your laptop. After the software and/or drivers are installed, connect the printer to the laptop with a usb cable. As long as the software is installed the pc should recognize the printer as soon as the usb cable is connected. Then just print as normal.

HP Pavilion dv6700 has system failure when connecting to TV

Try updating ALL Video Card & HDMI Drivers from manufacturers web site, that will probably be the best chance at a fix, this is a driver issue. Connect up this way... Start TV... plug in Cable to TV & PC, now, startup PC.
