So this is a printer? Sometimes printer cartridges can be placed and misaligned. As well as contacts might be dusty. Check to make sure all the metal contacts are securely touching the pins of the printer. If this continues to be a problem, you may want to contact HP for support, as this may be a hardware/electronic problem. Also, make sure the printer cartridge that you're using is authorized/compatible for your printer. Some 3rd party companies claim their cartridges will work, even though they won't. If you have an HP printer, buy HP ink (yeah, it sucks, but that's how they get away w/ their $40+ ink prices)

My flash is not working?

consult the instruction manual first and if you cannot work it out from there, you must then state what camera make and model you are having the trouble with and be a bit more precise about the problem itself - the flash might not work, but is there a flash-ready light and if so is that working? What about your battery status - low power may cause the flash to fail.

Manual light & exposure settings

if you are using flash lights on the art work, please follow the following steps
  1. turn off your flash in cam since it bypasses the external flash and makes the picture look different.
  2. turn your light settings to either automatic or "flash light or arc light".but do not set them to incandescent light!!!
  3. turn your macro to on status if you are going to take a close up shots, but please note that close up shots work great in natural sunlight than at flash lights...

Canon A540 flash charge not holding

Some of The Canon Powershot A530 and A540 cameras are subject to a advisory recall. Seems that a small spring on the battery compartment door can short out the batteries. Suspect this of yours, in that you mention that your batteries aren't lasting long. If your camera is on the list, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Error code messages in the status panel of the Fun! Digital 320 camera.

The following is a listing of the error codes you might see on the status panel of the PhotoMAX Fun! Digital 320 camera: 1.FL - Photo memory is full. You cannot take more photos. Download and then erase the photos in your camera. 2.FE - Flash memory error. A camera hardware error occurred. This can happen when the power is shut off before a photo is completely stored in the camera. Do not shut off the power until the green light comes back on steady after you take a photo. 3.bE - Hardware problem. Turn the power switch on and off and see if the error message disappears. If the error message persists, the camera may need to be replaced. 4.Lo - Battery low. Replace the camera battery as soon as possible. If you continue to use the camera, picture quality will be poor. 5.LL - Low light condition. The camera does not have enough light to take a good photo. Improve the subject lighting if possible. Example: When taking indoor photos, add additional room lighting.
