Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
I used to download the directX9c on the web. but when i start installing directX 9c on my Windows XP SP2 that have directX 9b.
here's a image on what happen when i start installing directX9c
these happen 1st...
this happen 2nd... starting to install.
then its done... but nothing happens even if the installation is finish still the directX9b stay the same.. the directX9c didnt over write the directX9b
i don't have a new CD that have directX9c :-( i used to download new games on internet. i really had a hard time fixing the directX
Try to download and install DirectX 10 instead of 9c
10 is better then 9c and support all games

Have you tried the slimmer version, the 34Mb? Additionally, have you tried installing in Safe Mode?
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
