If you have indicator lights then you are using the control that has the 2 digit 7 segment display to indicate temperature.

The lights are as follows from left to right
-ignitor failure indictor
-low and high voltage indicator
-bad flame indicator
-starting ignition cycle(flashes)

Light pilot light

Many heaters have pilot flames can be relighted with a match or push button operation. Many employ safeguards to prevent unburnt fuel from accumulating in the space or allowing an unstable pilot flame from "proving".

Most appliances have instructions printed or embossed on or near the pilot, gas valve or protective cover. It is very important to closely follow these instructions for your safety and that of others in the area. If you are unable to locate the instructions or follow them and relight the pilot, you should contact the gas company for assistance. This can be in indication of an issue with fuel, thermocouple, gas valve, etc., and would require a service person to correct.

I have included a link to a video to light a gas heater - yours may be the same or similar:

My light won't ignite on my mpi 441 monitor

this morning my heater, monitor 411, was running fine as always.
while it was running the power company came to work on a pole and turned the power off. it was down for about three hours. once power was restored it wouldn't come on.
the pilot light is off but I'm not sure if it's suppose to be while not running.I've tried priming it with three pumps, resetting by unplugging, beleeding the line, all don't work.
it's suppose to be 22f tonight so I could sure use some help.
oh, I have a manual but, of course, it doesn't cover the problem. I also called the company but got a voice mailbox...go figure.
somebody please help!

Burner lights but then shuts off after about a minute

What's happening is a good indication that the pilot assembly and the burner assembly may need cleaning. Insects can really clog it up. If after thoroughly cleaning the pilot and burner assemblies the burner still shuts off, check the gas tank and make sure it's at east 2/3rds full. After reconnecting the hose to the tank, open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) until the valve is full open. Then attempt to light the pilot and the burner. If every things works as it should, you solved the problem.

If you find you need to order a thermocouple, I have provided a link to the Blue Rhino Company, the manufacturer of Uniflame Patio Heaters and you can order it thru them.

I hope this helped you troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Do you think this unit would work for a large greenhouse on a 250 gal propane tank......yoda01@hctc.net Thanks

Depends on how large, "large" is? That particular heater has a BTU output of 80,000 to 200,000 BTU's.
That's a lot of heat. I suspect if you have a way to move the heat around some (like ceiling fans on slow speed), it would do an adequate job of keeping plants warm. But, keep in mind, this is not a Vented Heater. So, with that high a BTU output, you would need some makeup air. That way any residual fumes won't damage or kill your plants or you.

This type of heat is a moist heat. That's felt very quickly. So as far as "large" is concerned ... at 80,000 BTU's, "large" needs to be at least 1200 sq ft, with some minimal fresh air input & air movement. Of course, during the day light hours, you could turn the heat down considerably and let the sun heat the green house. That would save on gas consumption too.

I have a natural gas heater in the greenhouse and suddenly it has stopped working. I thought it was the thermostat and replaced that but it still does not go on. The pilot light is on, the gas is on, the...

look have read your statment and honestly i'd have an expert come to look at it if you do not wan't to worry bout your plants freezing, its obviously faulting and if it takes oxygen from room and is not powerflued by drawing oxygen from out side green house the heater would be drwing moisture into itself which will damage any heater so if it not a direct vent or power flu heater i'd probably start looking for one but with the fault your probably needing an expert to look at it for repairs its a gas heater and can be dangerous in the wrong hands on a repair so it would be a good idea to call the manufacturer for a service agent in your area

Tempstar dc90 furnace will not light

Possible solution would be to push the reset button if you haven't already. I have had to do it twice on my dc90 in the last week.

If you look at the glass where you can see the combustion chamber, the glass is oval, follow the long axis of the oval toward the 'top' of the ignition chamber (my unit is laying down, with the blower on the west end and the combustion chamber on the east, as I am facing south). On top of the chamber are two protected spade clips. In between them is the reset. Make sure that the unit is off, press the button, and fire it back up.

Berkeley Forge Outdoor Propane Heater Sunrise Model SR1001

I believe the company is out of business but I just got my heater fixed using a local gas service company. Took them a while to find a compatible thermocouple assembly but he found it so there is hope.

The unit works like new now except for the ignitor but not a big deal as it works fine to light the pilot with a lighter.
