Question about ASUS P4S800-MX Motherboard

Computer will not boot

Please help me with this problem. My PSU was faulty so I replaced it with one of the same specs. I am now unable to boot the PC. When I press the on switch nothing happens. I can see that there is power to the mobo because the light comes on.

I disconnected power to all peripherals and removed all cards to see if the PSU will at least spin up when I pressed the on switch but still nothing happened.

Does this mean that the motherboard is fried?

This board requires the 12vATX power connector to be connected, have you done this? It is the four pin connector next to the 20 pin ATX (ATXPWR1) board connector. (Looks very much like a graphics card power supply)

Also, make sure that you have not disturbed the 'power connector' on the system panel connector (lefthand front corner of the board). And that the switch is not goosed. You can check this by shorting these two 'power' pins with a small flat bladed screwdriver.

You should also check the voltage outputs on 'Both' the connectors for correct voltage, it wouldnn't be the first time a faulty PSU had been supplied. And of course, check that the power switch on the PSU is set to 'on'!

Option 1 :

Remove completely the mother board from Cabitnet.

Try to check it on other Cabinet.

Option 2

Remove mother board and re- plug the SMPS power Connecter to Mother board outside of cabit and make sure that motherboard is not touching directly to Metal part of cabinnet.

then switch on computer and check

With all that power, you need a better PSU, the CPU alone draws out 125 watts, the video card can get upwards of 50, RAM takes it down another 25, and that's half of it right there. I would suggest AT MINIMUM a 700 watt PSU. Newegg has em for you (you sound like you can find what you're looking for after all those specs you've given).
I hope this helps!
