I have the Saitek R440 Force Feedback steering wheel that I received from a friend and the transformer/power cord wasn't included in the box and the friend has now idea where it is and can't find it. ...

You probably gave up months ago on this; but here it is anyway:

Power Consumption: 10.5watts max
Operating Voltage: 24v dc

(I use a 24v 18w power supply, and have had no problems)

Also, it's a "positive tip" Casio style plug. (I think that's what they used to call them)

I have the Logitech Driving Force wheel with pedals and mine says on the bottom of the wheel, M/N E-UC2 5Vdc--.100ma and 24Vdc--.750ma. There is no USB before the 5Vdc. So which voltage is right? ...

There should be a USB dongle which plugs into the USB port. This would be the 5V @ 100ma. The wheel itself has to be connected to the mains by a power supply which should have come with it. The power supply provides the 24V @ 750ma. The wheel communicates with the PS3 through the USB dongle.

No Power Supplies

It is a 17 VDC 900mAmp power supply.
The positive is center pin (negative to shield surrounding center pin).

I have the same wheel.

Good luck!

Power supply for logitech driving force steering wheel

It's OK to use a power supply with a bigger current capacity than needed. If you find once with, say, 24V and 1.0A then that's usable - the wheel will draw as much as it needs.
Therefore:
Same voltage (24V)
Same or greater current (=>0.75A)
Same polarity (positive centre) __________________
Same as the Momo Racing Black, positive inside, negative outside.

The G25 power supply output is stronger: 24Vdc, 1.75A, same polarity.

As long as output voltage, polarity, amperes and connectors are the same you should be fine using a compatible unit, if you find one. In your case it would be 24V, 0.75A, positive inside, but if I were in you I'd wait for some American Driving Force owner to confirm this to be completely sure. The American psu model should however be GAD-SLU-240A8, 110V input, same PSU as Driving Force Pro. Take a look at this for more info. I received this from a forum with people that had the same issues as you and I hope this helps. It seems like they're saying that a store bought universal power supply may mess up your wheel so be careful. If this helps, please leave feed back. FIXYA!

G25 ps2/ps3 no steering..buttons & pedals ok

Hi Guys, I have found your solution. If all the buttons work, but the steering does not, it's because the buttons are powered by the USB bus. The electric engine of the wheel need really juice from the power supply. I have just bought a G25 and all the buttons worked fine, but turning the wheel was completely undetected. The power supply was cold as a supermodel heart. I have just put a new power supply and now all the things work perfectly. By the way, my thanks to all the other guys that posted the G25 issues, it really helped me out.

Enjoy your driving !
Petro
