I presume you mean it will not light up or turn On.
Other than check mains plug, fuses and connector on its back, it mostly will be a component failure inside (trust also you tried pushing power button on it, many people forget and rely on the remote).
Needs a service engineer I suspect otherwise.
I called Samsung who suggested pushinhg the play button on the panel and the power button on the remote together. "No disc" eventually showed on the screen and pushing the open/close door button worked.
However, my remote wouldn't work, even after changing batteries.
The machine did play. Unfortunately, later that night I tried another DVD and it locked up again. The next day I tried the above 2-step and it worked again, so maybe the other DVD caused trouble. But I cant get my remote to do anything except the 2-step listed above.
Pl check remote cells are ok. If leaky clean battery contacts and replace cells,
normally a small hole of 2mm on dvd tray door if visible use a needle to release door lock. Door slightly comes out pull slowly by hand.
or drive belt of door opening motor got cut.
First, make sure the device you want to connect with your remote is turned on, whether that's the television `, DVD player, VCR player, etc. Now aim the Innovage remote at the device. Press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the device (TV,DVD etc.). Now, press and hold the SET button on the remote control until the LED light on the remote control holds a steady red.
Enter the 4-digit code for your device by pressing the number keys on the remote control (see list below). When you press the fourth digit, the LED light should turn off. This means the remote and the device are "speaking" to each other. Press the OK button to store the code.
If the LED light blinks three times and then remains a solid red, the Innovage remote doesn't recognize the code for your device. Verify the correct code, then go through the programming steps again.
Hi, it sounds like either the eject button on the DVD player drawer has been damaged or the remote is in need of cleaning (I assume the remote to have an eject button too). you can remove the remote by removing a battery and seeing if the problem stops.
Best you remove the tape from the DVD drawer as this will not stop the DVD mechanism from trying to open the tray, bit like trying to constantly push against a locked door - you will cause damage if it hasn't already.
The Disc Tray Will Not Open And/Or There Is A Disc Stuck In The Player. Some DVD Players manufactured prior to 2003 have a Dealer Lock or Child Lock function. This will prevent the panel buttons from operating.
This function is activated by pressing the STOP button on the front panel and the POWER button on the remote control simultaneously for four seconds in the power on state. Repeating this sequence releases the dealer lock. When the dealer lock in activated, DEALER LOCK ON or DEALER LOCK OFF scrolls on the display.
If this does not resolve your problem there may be an error with in the player. To resolve this try the following these steps:
Unplug the DVD player from the electrical outlet and leave it unplugged for thirty seconds.
Plug the DVD player back in to the electrical outlet, but do not turn the DVD player on.
With the DVD player off, press the [Open/Close] button on the front of the DVD player. The home theater should power on when you press the [Open/Close] button and eject the tray.
