No sound from my gateway note pad model ml6227b

That would depend on the make/model of the pad and of the sound source, but in general, just asign the pad trigger out note number to match the clap sound note number on your sound source.

In the bios there should be a option for cpu fan operation.Set it for always on.You may need to reinstall your chipset or motherboard drivers also.

There are some things you should do on your own:

1) Gather information. You need to know your Gateway model and S/N, Windows version (XP, Vista, 7, 32bit or 64bit)
To check windows version: Right-click My Computer or Computer from Start menu, choose properties. You should be able to see the Windows version here

2) Go to Gateway website:
http://support.gateway.com/support/default.aspx?cmpid=topnav_support
Click on the "Notebooks" tab and input your S/N.

3) Scroll down to "Touchpad Drivers" section and download the latest driver for your model. Be sure to save the file where you can find it.

4) Install the new driver. It may be helpful to uninstall the old driver first: Start>>Right-click (My)Computer >> Manage >> In left pane, Device Manager >> In Right Pane, click plus sign next to, Mice and Other pointing devices >> Right -click the touchpad and click Uninstall, be sure to check the box, "Remove Software".

See if this gets better. If not, the touchpad/Palm rest needs to be replaced, but getting Gateway to do it (sounds like they tried) may be tough.

At least if you install the new driver, you may be able to disable it permanently, and then use a wireless mouse (which usually is much nicer anyway).

Try pressing the Fn and F9 keys simultaneously.

1. Go to the following link: http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?param=mx3702&st=kw
2. Scroll down to the "Sound Downloads" section.
3. Download the drivers you need.

Scroll on mouse pad may not be a "default" factory setting. Go to Control Panel and access Mouse Settings and look for this feature and activate it.

If this does not work then go to Gateway Website and look for SOFTWARE AND DRIVER DOWNLOADS ., Select your model and Operating System and look for MOUSE. Select Moust Driver Download and RUN and reinstall driver.

If both do not work than your mouse pad has to be replaced due to physical issue

call gateway that all i know

The only thing you can really do in this case is call gateway and see if they can repair this. it seems like something internal. Hopefully the computers are still under warranty. Sorry for the bad news.
