Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Held volume +, connected to computer, continued holding for 2-3 minutes and no pop-up window. Device Manager is not detecting a connected device, so cannot run a repair.

Re-chargeable batteries degrade if stored for long periods in a low charged state.
You may lose your music files if you remove the battery, so copy them to your computer before you replace the battery.
I suggest you Google the Internet for a replacement battery for your model MP3 player.

My apple classic ipod has frozen,iv jus brout new usb charger/downloader 4 it... how do i charge it through my computer & download songs..& get it 2 unfreeze?

To unfreeze it, try moving the "hold" switch to Off, and the to On again,
and then press the Menu and Center button simultaniously for 10 - 15 seconds, if it works the apple logo should apear and it will start up.

To charge it through your computer, all you need to do is plug it in, and should automatically begin to charge the battery. to download songs you need iTunes which you can get from www.itunes.com

First thing I would do is download and install a software update program from rca's website.
If the upgrade doesn't work, which it should, then battery pack or ribbon connection cable between battery pack and main circuit board is loose or faulty.

How do i download songs

hmmmm.....What type of mp3 player do you have? Some mp3 players can play back more than just mp3 songs....BUT.. As long as the music file have a MP3 file extension to it it should be fine with drag n drop into the correct folder on your device once usb connect is activated on your mp3 player. You may have to select USB connect manually and you may not have too (dending on the mp3 player you have)..You can find the correct folder just by browsing around or downloading from limewire and seeing where the music is stored..

Can't hear songs on my MP3

Are they .mp3's or .wma's? I haven't gotten .wma's to play, but .mp3's work fine.

You may also want to try creating a folder in the player that contains your music. Shouldn't matter, I know, but you know what that's worth.

Frozen on.

Problem resolved. I just let it sit until battery went down far enough for "Battery" alert to come on screen.
From there I put a charge on it and everything works fine now. Probably I should have kept it charged up.
