On/off

My RCA did the same thing just after the warranty ran out. I was told by a friend that it could be the switch on the tv that needs replacing, so he will be looking at it, and I'll let you know if that may be the case.

i think it may get too hot and you might want to put a fan nearby...

The tv is now only staying on for about 20 minutes before going back and forth. Then it just stays off with no sound and a black screen while the tv is on.

I opened up the back of the hutch that it is in but it still did the same thing. I've turned the air on in the house too. I am hoping that after a little while it will solve the problem but so far it hasn't.

We can't play any dvd's or videos either.

It is hooked up to a dvr which also controls a 2nd tv and that one works great so I know it is not the dvr itself. The stereo that it is connected to works great too.

Any other ideas on what may be wrong? It is just over 1 year old so that warranty is expired.
