Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

On/off switch broken and programme faulty

The on/off switch does not work and we have to switch it on and off directly from the mains plug, but this causes the central fuse in the house to trip.
Also, the programme stops at the pre-wash, and we have to turn the dial on to the next cycle for it to continue.
Please could you advise what the solution would be, and what parts we would need for replacement.

Can my key be reprogrammed in the ignition

The electronic key which you have only need to programme once, then it will work till get faulty not necessary to re programme there are only one way to re programme, it's only can do with new electronic ignition switch replacement so if you replace new ignition switch insert your key in it and it will take few minute for programme it take all the programme automatically then you can turn the key and start the car,
If you don't have replace the ignition switch but key is not working it's faulty either key or electronic ignition switch, if you have any other additional key if the car start with that key it's very clear it's faulty your key which is not working give me more details do you have the other key and only not working one key like that, however first replace the battery for your key and try if not work put a comment i will give you more details,

Washer wont work

Does the programmer move or make noises?

It could be one of four things
Faulty programmer (if it does not move or make noises)
Faulty Door lock, (try pushing the door firmly in)
The belt may be broken - If the belt is broken or come off of the wheel then you will be able to see this by removing the top. (always make sure that you remove the electrical plug before investigating)
The brushes on the motor could be worn down

Hotpoint WT960 Fault F-07 heater relay

A few reasons for this, faulty heater, broken wire, faulty pressure switch or faulty main control board (the heater relay is on the main control board).

There is no reset for this.
Unplug the appliance and take the rear cover off.

Check the wiring to the heater and thermostat. Give the wires a good tug as they can break internally and look ok.
If you have a multimeter, test the heater, it should read around 25 ohms.
Take the top off the appliance, locate the pressure switch (has a thin tube on it), give it a few good taps with your screwdriver handle.
Finally, take the main control board out (bottom left when viewed from the rear) and one plug at a time, take them off, clean and tighten them, plug them back on.
If everything checks out ok, then it's likely the main control board is at fault.

Good Luck!!

Thanks
