Hi,

presume something wrong with your acer travelmate 2301LMi in two situations

1a.if the case is that you see picture flashing on and off on the screen and shut down and it might be moisture. in traveling in one place to another ( specially cross country) your pc can have that due to climate change / different area temperature.

Tip: in traveling please don't drain power in your battery pack for constant electricity inside your pc and it can help to avoid moisture.

please dont operate in that condition of your pc it might damage your computer (moistured parts). refer to service provider in your area.

if you can dismantle it, then scatter by pcs. and blower (hot) it by pc, but not too close to the computer parts. or dry it in direct sunlight. and assemble it and screw firmly all parts. by doing this please dont touch all electronic parts of your pc coz, its very sentitive to static electricity and might be damage and dont put all parts in anywhere else, make it secure.put ontop of clothes or paper not wet.and not in any metal tables.

1b. if the case is that you see picture flashing on and off on the screen and in the long run shut down. and might be theres some loose screw in the assemble of your pc with contacts. screw it firmly all parts.

2.if the case is that you see colorful brick of codes, letters, numbers flashing on and off and shut down. your video cards is all ready damage. replace it. as stated in the manual.

My acer travelmate 250 wont start up whaen i switch it on its just a black screen and it bleeps 3 times then just knocks off

If you are getting beeps on startup and nothing shows on screen possibly the RAM of your system is gone bad.

You might try reseating the RAM to get this issue fixed, If you have more than 1 memory stick try loading one stick at a time to understand which of the RAM is gone bad.

Acer TravelMate 2304LCi won't boot windows I get a blue screenPlz

Have you tried "Last Know Good Configuration"? You will find this option along with Safemode. If LKGC able to boot the system properly then make a backup of your personal data. And open the System Configuration Utilities (Type MSCONFIG in Run Command) and disable all the Startup option. Reboot the Laptop and see if it works properly or not.

Try Flushing out the Power of the Laptop. Here is how to need to do.

First Disconnect the Battery from the Laptop and leave it for atleast 30 minutes. Then reconnect the Battery, make sure you don't connect any additional accessories like USB mouse, External hard drive, Power cable etc. And see if you are able to boot the system properly or not. If it doesn't work then you would need to reformat the hard drive.

Sounds like you have a CD or DVD in your CD or DVD drive, or if you have a floppy drive, a floppy in it.

If these are empty, Put in your recovery CD and see if it reads that.
