you can try this ,
check the monitor on the different wall outlet/ socket or check with different computer wheather it gives the same issue .. third option is check with both DVI and VGA ports differnetly.. please check wheather you are getting lines on the bios screen when u start the system because if you r getting lines on the BIOS screen (f1) then there is a issue with the monitor else issue with the video card ................try this ,if possible revert for the same issue
