Display has become almost illegible

My 900c has been working fine, but suddenly the display went very dim and is almost illegible. Type appears "reversed" i.e. white outline, not black The main battery shows 100% and backup "good". Any ideas to rectify?

Maybe your Contrast is screwed up. Try soft resetting, then hold "Alt" and the ">" or "<" key at the same time. You can also see if you can turn up the brightness, using the two keys next to the delete key.

Digital speedo and display very dim on z750

Hi
Sounds like you have a faulty connector/wiring to the display unit, most likely a bad connector (known as a dry joint) leading from the ECU junction relay box. Dry joints/circuits a sensitive to vibration!
Getting the wiring checked by an auto electrician to make sure where the fault is actually in the wiring.
If the fault is a dry joint in the wiring, re-soldering the connector will fix the fault.
If the fault is a bad wire, replacement of the wire will fix the fault.
If the fault is a dry circuit in the display unit, replacement of unit necessary(costly & worst case).
Have a full Kawasaki service manual for the bike on an USB STICK in PDF form with you, when you take the bike to the auto electrician, it will help them find the fault quicker & cheaper.
If you haven't got a full service manual, you can download PDF file from the internet, the cost very minimal compared to a printed manual.
When I had my problem with the electrics on my Z750S, the fault was with the connectors(dry joints) and re-soldering them solved the issue!
Hope this helps

No power output or display.green standby light flashes.

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

While working on my laptop it suddenly become blurry, the images are seems mirrored, the text become doubled and it hard to read. The graphics display was really blurry and even i open to safe mode still...

Look for a 9 pin or 15 pin plug on the side of your laptop. You can connect an external monitor to these type of jacks . If the display on the external monitor is clear then your laptop display panel is the culprit.

I think your inverter is good but the video chip is overheating or become heat sensitive. What you are experiancing I have seen before with regular pc's. Most laptops just quit working alltogether.

Dim display on laptop LCD screen

The part you need is called a CCFL Backlight. Basically, there are lights in the screen that back-light/illuminate the display. Over time it burns out and you are left with a dim and completely dull display. These are a pain to replace and expensive when bought from the manufacturer. But this site has a break down with dis-assembly instructions...if you want to try it.

The orange and black display on my NordicTrack T9 ci is very very dim. It is almost illegible. Doe anyone know how to troubleshoot this issue?

What your seeing is a common problem which I encountered on 3 separate displays. I have since diagnosed the problem and am currently life-testing a working solution. The real problem is very poor design of the negative voltage generator circuit for the display contrast. Everything else is working fine except that circuit. I have designed and installed in my treadmill a replacement circuit that is much stronger and am currently testing it. zubatcha@gmail.com for more information

My NC-10 screen just went crazy. I can tap on the

You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashes on and off or displays reddish pink hue. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickers on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replace the CCFL lamp.
To determine if the video card or the LCD is faulty, connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight. It could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out, this is the most likely case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Display

A really dim display like you're describing is most likely a backlight problem.  If your inverter went bad you wouldn't have any display at all.  you need to get your backlight changed.

Display problem on NEC MobilePro 900

I just bought a 900C on eBay and had the same problem. According to the seller "the video cable on the right under the hinge cover gets loose..if its reseated it will be fine..you could just press on the bottom of the hinge cover right and it will make it go away but best to reseat the cable." I haven't tried his solution yet. Mine seems to intermittent since it is working fine right now.
