Thank a lot. But I removed all four screws and the covet still holds very tight. I do not want to break the plastic cover.

There are 4 screws holding the cover on the bottom of the computer that allows access to the RAM modules. (This is the same cover that also covers the fan. The same cover with the ventilation slots.)

Simply remove the screws and lift the cover by the indent to the right of the battery lock.

Install RAm

Hello

Go here http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/ and take a look at the manual for the aspire notebook 5630 (should be similar to yours)

On page 39 theres a diagram showing the base. You basically have to unscrew the memory compartment cover , remove the cover then slot the memory in and put the cover back. RAM upgrades are really easy!

Where do you put the ram memory into acer 5720

Hi,
Remove the battery and the power supply, turn the laptop over and look for a panel which is held into place with a screw, it will look something like this >>>>
1a58d34.jpeg

Just push the lugs out at the sides of the slots and the memory will pop up, take it out and install the new memory, make sure it clips into place and is seated properly.

Good luck.

Repeated blue screen and reboot on acer 5720 laptop

It might not be virus problem, usualy blue screen happens when there is problem with the RAM memory or processor (more common is RAM problem).

Try taking your laptop to some service to be diagnosed with other memory modules - this will be the system of elimination of possible problems.

You can also try downloading some of the softwares for stress testing your laptop, like this one for example:

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/Heavyload_39688_p/

If your laptop reboots before completing stress test, then you must take it to service for diagnostics.

Good luck,

Milan

Hi,

Have you tried the manufacturers website (i.e. Acer) and looked for the drivers there. They should definitly have them if you make sure you put in the make and model of your computer into the specific drop down boxes.

good luck

Installing Acer 5315 series memory

Laptops use a different type of RAM unlike a tower computer, the RAM is like little square pieces. Unscrew the cover, lift the old RAM out and replace with the new. Its located on the back or underside of the computer.
