I turned it off yesterday after listening to some music and when I tried to turn it on again a few hours later it didn`t respond. Between the two situations it didn't happen anything strange. I thought at first that it was a battery issue (that I hadn't turned it off in the first place) but I connect it to my pc and the blue light or the battery symbol don't appear. Seems it`s completely dead.
Hey.....i had the same problem too.....but all u need to do is take a straigtened paper clip pin and press in the reset point inside for 5 sec and release and then switch off and switch it on it should work...inacse it does not repeat the same by piercing the pin for more than 5 secs and wait until the screen flashes...hope this helps.

I have a Zen Vision: M and often have the same problem if it is completely discharged and not used for a couple of weeks. When I plug it into my laptop I get a message saying 'This USB device has malfunctioned and is not recognized" (or something like that) and the unit will not power on. However, if I leave it attached for about an hour it eventually comes to life.
Do you have a wall charger, or do you only charge bu USB from your PC?
My advice would be: - Attach it via USB to your PC - Leave is for 1-2 hours and (hopefully) is should come back to life.
If not, try a different USB cable - I used to use the standard USB cable that came with my Zen Vision: M to charge (and sync) with my PC, but recently my PC does not recognize the device when using this, so I switched to a different USB cable (the one that came with my Sony Ericsson phone) and now it works first time, every time.
I have the same problem .. But i found a trick ...When you have a blank screen. 1 you must listen music else press play until you listen it 2. flip the switch on the side to lock position 3. press on buttom the next tune 1-2 seconds 4. you will have a black screen ( you listen the music again) 5. flip the switch on the side to normal position. 6 the screen appear ok now..
7. else repeat ( most time once is ok but sometimes 2 or 3 times)
