Question about Computers & Internet
The only place I have no sound is in paltalk rooms . Sometimes I get a broken sound after 10 to 30 minutes , sometimes it works fine also after a while but it's very rare . Could it be caused because of my router ( edimax) ?
Thanks in advance for your help

SOURCE: Monitor cause blasting sound !
as it is not always sometimes only. this might be due to over oscillation in horz. stage.means more eht. it might be due to 1 power supply seems to be more then normal. 2 horizontal frequrncy not tunned properly if any preset is there. 3 loose contact in hor. section 4 some times it is due to connecting cable from monitor to computer.

Hi Joeker, I believe you have a problem with heat. Also to get this problem solved, you need to open the main box and clean it up real good. I use a paint brush to dust off the circuit boards. Clean all the dust and lint out of the box. Put it allback together and make sure the main box has plenty of ventilation. do not set it on carpet, this will restrict it's natural circulation of air. I truly hope this helps you.

Ok for starters this wireless technology is still in it's early stages and is being tested while wireless G is still in play. Most of the time if you continue to get kicked off or get no connection at all, this is due to firewall settings. When a device connects to a router of any kind it must send and recieve a signal. Unless you have a static address on your laptop. (an IP address you placed into your wireless adapter setting) Your IP address sometimes changes, it does this when you turn off your computer, log off, etc. Sometimes when reconnecting to your wireless network the IP address changes because it is a dynamic address. A static address never changes. I have found that with some wireless technology devices if a firewall is setup with windows XP the IP address changes thereby not allowing the device to reconnect to the network or be recognized based on the IP change. I have found this alot with wireless printers, external Network storage devices, etc. Sometimes when you take down the firewall your computer will reconnect to the network. Or just go back to the basics: Right click onto the wireless icon at the bottom right near the clock. You should have an option asking you to repair, this helps most of the time.
Most common problems with having be disconnected from your network is when you have a laptop and you use it outside of home on or in another location. Any more questions I have tons of answers. I can also walk you through a network setup!

Warning the following instructions are likely to RESET THE ENTIRE CONFIGURATION OF THE ROUTER and you will need to reenter it completely. Do not follow these instructions unless you are prepared to reconfigure your router completely from the factory defaults. I am not sure but be careful or consult with EDIMAX support before proceeding.
note the following is from the http://www.edimax.us/ website follow technical support and click
BR-6104 / 6104W / 6104P
If I forget my password, what can I do?
I hope this helps.

Unplug the monitor from CPU Keep the monitor alone and see any problem. If not try to plug to some laptop and check again. We want to sort out the problem from monitor or CPU..
