Hello. sound's like a power supply problum. it could be as easy a putting a new fuse in . the first thing is to unplug it from the wall. the open the unit . with a screw driver. and take off the top. of the unit. !!! and look for a fuse.!! to see if it is blowen?.!!! if so .!! replace with the same size of fuse. !!! as what was in it.!!! you find the size on the fuse that you take out.!! of the unit. !!! "dont" use any fuse .!!! only the same size that the fuse say on. !!! replace it .!! put it back together and hook it back up and try it.!!! if not you will have to look for burnt part's on it's mother board. and go from there.!! well 'GOOD LUCK"

The green light merely indicates that power is getting to your TV. The symptoms you describe point to internal power supply failure

HELP! Olevia lt37hvs screen went blank. No Sound, panel buttons wont work. Backlight is only on on half of screen.

if you had audio i wold say its most likely the Tconn or its upper two connections to the Panel itself. But since you dont have any sound either I would assume its either the LVDS cable from the main board to the Tconn or the Main board itself as audio and video are produced on the main board, You can get replacement boards from www.tvrepairworld.com

MONITOR KEEPS SWITCHING TO STANDBY

Either the power supply is going bad (power light will be orange or off when it goes dark) or the screen itself has the problem (inverter?). If the power button stays green but the screen goes dark, that'll be the problem.

Viewsonic VE175b Monitor Powers Up Doesn't Display Windows OS

Hi; I had the same problem. I know that sometimes devices require you to perform some type of '10-30 second' "hold" of one or some of its buttons in order to 'reset' the device, so to speak. So, having said that, try this:

1) Turn your monitor off (no green light) but leave it plugged in.
2) Leave it off for about 10 seconds.
3) Hold the [2] button on your monitor (the one to the immediate LEFT of your monitor's POWER button).
4) While holding the [2] button, now press and HOLD your POWER button.
5) Wait for your image to appear and STAY onscreen for about 5 seconds, then release both buttons.
6) Your monitor should retain its onscreen image.

Hope this helps! Good Day to all!
