Has the computer recognized the memory card in the past? If so, try download and reinstalling the memory card driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Card Reader drivers.

If after installing the drivers the reader still does not work, you can purchase a multi format card reader that will plug into you usb port from Tiger Direct for less than $15. at

http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just put in the search at the top "SD Card Reader or XD Card Reader" depending you your type and press GO. You can sort the returned results by Price Low to High.

Do you have a USB Cable that came with the camera that you can plug into one of the usb ports on the computer? If so, try that. It's another way of getting pictures off the camera. Plug the cable on the camera and into the computer then turn the camera on. The computer will recognize the camera and install the drivers. You can navigate through the camera folders just like you do any other device to find the pictures.

Check the Acer web site and make sure U are putting in the correct type of DDR2 ram. Even though they are called DDR2, there are different types, i.e. 5300, 5600, etc.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire T-180 Memory Upgrade question

hello!

You can buy 2- 512 mb DDR2 memory. It should be the same spec with the two current memory.
Memory should be the same specs and capacity, you insert it to your slot 4-1GIG to maximize, in your setting i recommend another 2-512mb bcoz your current memory is 512 mb capacity.

Not advisable to insert diferent capacity or diferent brand memory bcoz it cause damage to the mainboard and memory also.

Up to 4 GB of DDR2 533/667/800 MHz SDRAM (dual-channel support on four DIMMs)

in your case, you can add more 2-512mb memory, DDR 2 refer to your current memory about about this number. 533/667/800 and follow.

Hello, i have a disney digital imagine camera but i cant get the pictures of? is there any way i can get my pictures on a modern windows because it wont recognize the divice in the explorer

If you're having trouble getting the pictures off your Disney digital imagine camera and your computer won't recognize the device, there are a few things you can try:
1. Check the USB connection: Make sure that the USB cable is properly connected to both the camera and the computer. Try using a different USB cable or port to see if that helps.
2. Install the drivers: Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any drivers available for your camera. Download and install the drivers, then try connecting the camera again.
3. Use a memory card reader: If your camera uses a memory card to store photos, you may be able to bypass the USB connection by using a memory card reader. Insert the memory card into the reader, then connect the reader to your computer.
4. Try different software: If the default Windows Explorer is not recognizing the device, try using a different photo management software, such as Adobe Lightroom, Google Photos, or Microsoft Photos, to import the photos.
5. Contact the manufacturer: If none of these steps work, contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or be able to provide a solution.
It's worth noting that Disney digital imagine cameras are relatively old, so some compatibility issues with modern computers may be expected. If you're unable to get the pictures off the camera using these steps, you may need to seek out a specialized service or device to retrieve the photos.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. I bought a 4 gig SanDisk Adapter micro SD, micro SDHC. my Acer Aspire will not recognize the card, i've tried the switch both ways multiple times. how can i get my PC to recognize the card?

My reader will not read mine either. I use a usb key card reader. It used to read the regular old SD cards but the new HC card format wont work. This is due to UDF differences. You can try to reformat the card but then your camera or device may not recognize it anymore. good luck

I cant load my olmpus 300 on to pc,loaded camedia on ok but wont pick up my camera, tried to load it using devices butsays not in right file.checked usb devices, tried to add device but not having it

Consider NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to load photos from camera onto acer notebook

The brand notebook has nothing to do with it. It's the brand camera.

Does the notebook recognize the camera?

If not, chances are you need to locate a software that will allow the transaction to take place.

Begin by searching the internet to locate such a software with the make and model of your camera in the search.

The software that should have come with the camera should have the right driver for the notebook to recognize it.

Cant download pictures

I've had several Kodak cameras and believe me the software is horrid and loaded with thei spyware. Write off the pics in internal memory and only use a sd card. SD card readers can be had for $5.00 at FRYS and you will save yourself hours of grief and annoyance.
