1stly try the Kingstone in another PC - if it works in another PC you have 1 of 4 problems:
1] You are using a very old version of Windows and therefore would require drivers for the memory stick. (i.e. Windows 95 or Windows 98)
2] Your USB ports are faulty - try the ports at the back of the PC instead of the ones in the front if you have not done so already
3] There is a virus on your memory stick and it is attempting to load an executable file when u plug it in and that is causing it to fail.
4] It is detecting fine but you cant read it because the FAT (File allocation table) is damaged in which case it will need to be formatted.
I will need some more info though - for example:
Does windows say "Hardware detected" when u plug it in? Are you getting any lights flashing on the memory stick? What do you see when u click on my computer? Does is show up at all but u just cant open it?
The memory stick becomes another drive, when plugged into the USB port. Some sticks have a write protect, which is a teeny tiny switch. If the switch is in the protect position, you can read but not write any data to the drive. Often the drive will be listed after all of your camera card ports.
To view the drive press and hold the Windows key and press the letter E. and then release both. The available drives should show up there.
Just plug it in to an available USB port, it should be detected as another drive letter within the Windows Explorer. You can copy files and/or folders to it by either dragging the files from another window onto the drive, or by right-clicking the files/folders themselves and selecting "Send to", then the drive letter for the USB drive.
if you copy one folder should be the same, anyway the .pls is for playlist for winamp so you need to check if you maid some settings regarding some association ,try to copy first with folder to folder but not in the total commander but in my computer this shold resolve your problem ,and i advice you to reinstal total comander with defalt setting if you tried with that.
plug it into your usb port on your computer. do not plug into your network port. Windows will find and setup your usb memory stick. if it does not set it up automatically, you can still oen and use it via "my computer" folder
