Hp compaq 530usdt windows\system32\conf\system. File missing or corrupt

insert original win installation cd and reboot... when in boot mode make sure you are booting from CD, not from disk, when message asking that you "boot up from cd " appears, just press any key, and folow procedure, but do not install a new copy of windows ! There must be "repair your computer" option on your CD, for Win Xp - it is "recovery console" ! When repairing finishes restart computer and boot from disk (just do not press anything when you see message "boot from CD..." and let windows from HDD configure it self).

Trying to restore back to factory settings

System Recovery
When you've tried other methods of repairing your
system software (like System Restore or Application
Recovery), you may want to use the Compaq System
Recovery program as a last resort to reinstall the software.
When necessary, you can reinstall the operating system and
the application software that was originally installed on the
PC at the factory by using the System Recovery program.
WARNING: The Compaq System Recovery
program will delete any data or programs
that you installed after purchase. Be sure to
back up any data that you want to keep onto
a removable disc.
The System Recovery program uses a special recovery
partition on the hard disk drive that stores an image of the
original software.
NOTE: The System Recovery image is in a partition area
of the hard disk drive and takes up part of the total drive
space. This disk space is not usually available for your use.
In the unlikely event that you replace the hard disk drive,
or somehow damage the data in the special recovery
partition on the hard disk drive, use recovery discs to
reinstall the operating system and software on the hard disk
drive. See "System Recovery Using Recovery Discs."
Make your own recovery discs (CDs or DVDs) before you
need them; see "Creating Recovery CDs/DVDs." You can
also make the Recovery Tools CD. This CD contains utilities
that allow you to make changes to your hard disk drive; see
"Using the Recovery Tools CD."
Starting System Recovery
if the PC Is Responding
1 Turn off the PC. Disconnect all peripheral devices from
the PC except the monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse.
Turn on the PC.
2 Click Start on the taskbar, choose All Programs,
choose PC Help & Tools, and then click Compaq
System Recovery.
3 Wait until the System Recovery window appears asking
Do you really want to start System Recovery?
4 Click Yes to continue with the recovery process. If you
created recovery discs, you may be directed to insert
recovery disc #1. If the Recovery disc is a DVD, be sure
to put the disc in a DVD drive.
5 The PC starts the recovery; wait for the onscreen
instructions to display, and then follow those instructions.
6 Complete the PC startup, finish the registration process,
and wait until you see the desktop. Then, turn off the PC,
reconnect all peripheral devices, and then turn on the PC.
Starting System Recovery if the PC
Is Not Responding
1 Turn off the PC. If necessary, press and hold the On
button until the PC turns off.
2 Disconnect all peripheral devices from the PC except the
monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse.
3 Press the On button to turn on the PC.
4 During the startup, do the following to enter the System
Recovery program:
When the black screen with the Compaq logo appears,
press the F10 key on the keyboard. (You have only a few
seconds to press the F10 key before the normal startup
process continues.)
5 The PC starts the recovery; wait for the onscreen
instructions to display, and then follow those instructions.
6 Complete the PC startup, finish the registration process,
and wait until you see the desktop. Then, turn off the PC,
reconnect all peripheral devices, and turn on the PC.

My son's emachines e442-v634 notebook stopped working because of some virus. I tried to put it back to system default and now it says prepare for first startup, then a software installation window...

Probably the system was corrupted and now it needs to be reinstaled ..If you have a recovery partition ...just press the key specified on start for recovery partition ...and restore the operation system to the factory default ...or ..if you do not see that ..try the function key specified on start for to go on the boot manager...In there take a look if it has a boot from recovery partition ..and try it...(select and enter..) it will ask for a confirmation ..usually pressing a key ..
If you do not have a recovery partition ..you will need a recovery disk ...with the os on ...and the procedure is the same ..insert the disk ..press the function key ..for entering boot manager...select to boot from cd/dvd and enter..it will ask to press any key to boot from cd ..and will start the recovery process ..
If non of those are available ..you will need a boot-able cd /dvd with the operation system you use..and the procedure is the same ...boot from cd ...and confirm and follow the instructions on the screen to install os..
The only issues in this case is that you will end up with a clean operation system ..and you need to have the disk with all drivers for the devices...graphic, sound, camer a, network card ...etc..and you will have to be sure before you start the installation process that you have them ..cause once deleted you will not be able to connect to the internet to get them without the network card installed..so ..In case you do not have the drivers stored into computer in a partition other than C drive...or you do not have them on disk either..you need to get to the manufacturer's site ...and under support ..to locate the exact model ..and the operation system you have in use..and download all the drivers on another computer and put them on a memory stick or a disk ..and use them after the installation of the operation system is finished..
After that all you have to do is to install whatever programs you use..and an antivirus ..(my advice is to install the antivirus first thing after you extabilished the network connection )
Good luck ..and remember ...the system is corrupted beyond any recover by itself ..so it needs reinstall.

How do i need my acer AOD15 turn in a new computer from inside i mean delete everything and start from the first step

You need to use a USB cd-rom drive to reinstall windows. You can also do this from a usb stick, but that is more complicated.

1) Hook up your cdrom drive + insert the windows 7 CD
2) Turn the computer on, and when prompted press any key to boot from the disc.
3) Wait for windows to load the installer, and then follow the prompts. When the prompt asks you what drive to install windows on, select it and then choose to format it. (Quick format is fine)
4) Follow the prompts, and let windows finish the installation.

Reformat hard drive

How to format your hard drive and re install your operating system.
in order for you to do this you have to (before you format)
1. make sure that you have your recovery cd's or a cd/DVD with your operating system (windows or Mac)
2. try to back up all your information to an external Hard drive or DVD's depends on how much usable information you may have.
3. try to handpic your files to back up because if you do an auto back up you will end up with the same problem again.
-- to do a back up copy all your needed files to an empty folder and then burn them to DVD's or copy to an ext. HD.
4. after you do that (if you have your recovery cd's) insert #1 and restart your computer it will tell you to press any key to start from cd do that and follow directions.
5. when the program shows your partitions go ahead and delete them all, you need to end up with one
6. when you see just one partition go ahead and click continue and it will install your new operating system
7. if you have more than 1 cd it will ask you to insert the next one and so on.
8 after it finishes installing, get the cd out and run the setup process like if you've got a brand new computer, type the information and keep clicking next.
9. at one point you would be on the windows screen and that is it you have a brand new operating system.
Note: take in consideration that when you follow this process, you
erase EVERYTHING from the system including files and programs so after you do this you are going to have to re-install all your programs and copy your docs. back to the pc.
**** If you don't have the discs
check under start-(all) programs - start up- recovery- disk creation.
that (if you have it) will help you to create your recovery disks try to use 2 dvd's if posible if not you may have to get a windows cd to re- install and install drivers and apps.

if it works for you don't forget to rate me

thx

Wont boot, keeps asking 2 F1 then'start normally' screen then afta a while back to F1,

your system has dropped into a "boot loop".. The best way to fix this is to place your Windows install disk into the machine, then reboot. Go into the BIOS screen and change the boot sequence so the PC boots from the cd or dvd drive then save and exit (F10). once the system gets to the "press a key to boot from cd" option, press a key and let the installation system start up. This will detect an exisiting installation BUT, when it asks if you wish to repair using recovery manager, Press NO.. Then it will go to the setup screen and ask if you would like to fix the existing installation, press YES and setup will replace the damaged system files and re-write the MBR. Let setup finish and remove the disk at the end of the installation then reboot. All should now be well and your files should still be available too..

On the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair might prompt you to make choices as it tries to fix the problem, and if necessary, it might restart your computer as it makes repairs.
