Question about Apple iPod shuffle MP3 Player
When i plug in the ipod with the computer the computer does not pick the device and there is not charging as well
If the shuffle is over 18mth old it might very well be the battery. However do just try a Reinstall of iTunes then an upgrade of the shuffle software if you can connect it. The other alternative if the thing still doesn't connect is that it's the main board or connector itself although these are more unlikely.
A new battery for a shuffle is about $5-10 (£3-6) on eBay and normally comes with instructions and tools.
All the best

Did ya install the new windows service pack?that was my problem...i had to unistall all applications of Windows service pack(even the service pack 3) and empty the recycle bin. then reinstall the latest service pack(3) i think, and then your ipod should come back to life..mine did. it was beautiful! goto windows update for the latest version after uninstallation...i hope this helps...
