Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
The software provided with this printer really is a bag of worms. You would think HP could do better than this. I have tried to install it on my Sony Vaio and it just keeps giving error after error.
I installed it on my wifes where it recognises the printer, finds the network and then refuses to work wirelessly and only works with the printer cable.
If you are thinking of buying one of these and are the type of person that loves wasting your entire evening messing around with **** software that simply doesn't work out of the box then buy one of these.
For everyone else go and buy something decent...

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your best bet is to go to HP and dowmload the removal tool and then starting from scratch. When you install HP Multi Funct printers it puts all the installation files in a temp directory and when it is complete the files remain there. What tends to happen if you try to re-Install it will use those same files. If there are corrupt or missing files your troubles will not be resolved by re-installing. Hope this makes sense.

SOURCE: Trying to install the Hp
If you are trying to install from the cd that came with the printer it is an older version.
To get updated drivers go to HP website. http://www.hp.com.
click on support and drivers.
1. Click Download drivers and software (and firmware)
2. Type in the printer model number click on GO.
Some printers have several versions, so it may ask for your version. click on your version.
3. From the dropdown select your Operating System click next it will then show you the drivers, updates and utilities for your Operating system.
At this point you can either download the drivers or order a cd from HP.
