Printhead missing, not installed correctly or has come loose

I previously had gotten a replacement printhead due to mine being bad. After using this one for over three months I am now getting the stated problem.

I have removed the print head twice and put it back in.

I love this printer I need help!!!!

    Thanks have done that and now they are going to send me a new printhead.

Remove it again then turn off the printer for 30 sec. Install printhead first power down again then the ink carts. For the same issue call the Kodak Technical Support 1 800 421 6699

Error message, printhead missing or not installed or has come loose. The printhead is in place, I removed the cartriges and removed the printhead then replaced them with the same results

I called a few days ago about my printer problem. I had an error message 6202. I have received the printer that you sent me to replace mine. This printer has a problem, too. My reference no is #6823342...


Would you mind if I ask you to please clarify? Did you call FixYa or did you call the Printer Manufacturer support? If you reference number and the order number is FixYa's, I'll help you forward it to the FixYa support so that they can verify the order and it's status.

Since you didn't mention the Printer's model and Brand, I can't give you any tip, it'd be much appreciated if you can let me know about your printer so that I can help you fix the problem.

I just installed a new control panel for the phaser 8500 and now get an error code 13327.42:6027


13,327.42: The Printhead reservoir thermistor returned a bad reading.
  1. ensure that all the components are grounded properly
  2. Run the printhead RESERVOIR TEMPERATURE test on the diagnostics menu. If fails replace printhead.
  3. Check and reseat all wiring to the printhead. If all connected then replace the printhead.
Most of the times that i've gotten this error I've had to change the printhead. Anyways good luck.

To resolve the error condition:
  1. Open the printer access door.
  2. Remove the color and black ink cartridges.
  3. Remove, then reinstall the printhead

In regards to the error message with the printhead missing or come loose......I had that issue just shortly after I installed my printer. I was going crazy trying to fix it taking it out and reinstalling which was a pain, removing the cartridges and then the printhead to no avail. Finally I got smart and disconnected the power cord from the printer itself, not directly from the outlet. Once I did that and turned the printer back on the error was gone. It might have been a fluke, but it worked for me, so you might want to try it.
