I'm not real familiar with the All-in-One systems, but I found this site
Adding or Replacing Hard Drive in HP Omni 120 1000 Series Desktop PCs explaining the HDD removal process. In the description is another link to HP's technical document on removing the rear cover. Hope this helps.

I have a lenovo tower 3000 j series. The tray will not open. Cannot seem to find this pinhole everyone is talking about. any ideas?

It might be hidden behind the case. Remove the drive, then you should see a small hole that you can stick a paper clip in.

Can a speaker be internally installed

Shut the computer down completely if you are installing a PC speaker in a computer that you have already built.

Disconnect the power cable, and bring the PC case to a sturdy table or workbench.

Open the PC case.

A PC case sometimes has a release lever that you can use to slide the cover off without tools.

If your case has no release lever, look for a series of Phillips-head screws on the back and remove them before sliding the cover off of the case.

After removing the cover, place the case on its side so you can access the motherboard.

Locate the connector for the PC speaker near the front of the case.

Generally, the connector has two wires black and red and a black connector with four holes on the end.

Examine the black connector, and note the hole a dot or arrow next to it.

This end of the connector should align with pin 1 on the motherboard.

Look for a bank of pins on the motherboard, near the front of the PC case.

Near the bank of pins, there should be a guide explaining the purpose of each section of pins. Examine the guide to find the four pins labeled "SPK," "SPEAKER" or similar.

Place the connector over the four corresponding pins so that the side of the connector marked with an arrow or dot goes over the pin marked "1."

Hope this helps

Failed at checkpoint [PnP1]/ dell optiplex GX270 series

PCI Slot 1 problem it appears. This means opening the case and reseating all the above-board cards such as video, audio, ethernet, etc.

Shut down the computer and unplug it. Press and hold the power button for a slow count of at least 10. Then you may open the case. How your case opens depends on the model. If this computer is what I think it is and you're unfamiliar with going inside the case I would suggest taking it to a repair shop. The Optiplex computers I've been inside of of are awkward to work with.

Lenovo 3000 C Series, my cd slipped inside of the computer, I took the screws from the back, and I still can't get it open.

Here's the manual.
http://static.tigerdirect.com/pdf/Lenovo-3000-J110-7393-PC-Hardware-Guide.pdf

Page 91 shows how to get it open. Two thumb screws on the back, then slide off the side of the case.

Hope this helps! Please leave a rating!

Have a HP Elite 9500 series desktop computer I want to add drives to. ONe side opens with a thumb screw. The rest of the case looks as though it's rivited together. How do I open it up so as to add drives...

The side with the thumb screws is your side panel that allows access to the inside of your computer. On some computers only one side comes off. Hope this helps...
