I'll recommend you to directly try Driver Detective and let the software have a free scan to automatically detect & update the missing ASUS drivers. This way things can be much easier & efficient. Also you don't have to risk install wrong drivers which might cause severe system issues. Regards!

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ASUSSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Network drivers.

SOURCE: satellite a65 problem with atheros wireless driver after XP Pro SP2 installed

Hi,

Perhaps what is required is to install the drivers separately and use those from the manufacturer, Toshiba. Incidentally, there are 18 versions of a Satellite A65, which one is yours pls? (Versions start from S1062...S1762).

Pls start here and select Portables, Satellite, and A65 + Version, then click on "Show Results" button.

Alternately, you may want to jumpstart and try this for the RTL8139 and/or this for the Atheros WiFi. Both are for Windows XP.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: install ATK0100 driver first

You will need to install the update first, I found 3 versions of ATK0100. You can try all versions if you like starting with the latest version. Just remember to create a restore point before you install any of the drivers that you want to upgrade just in case anything goes wrong, you can go back to an earlier time when the system is working OK.

SOURCE: Lan connection has disappeared from network but wireless works

Have you run the Dell Diagnostics test? reboot the computer and hit the F12 key, scroll down to the diagnostic option and run the test, it will check hardware and memory etc.

I cant connect laptop with ethernet cable

I assume the LAN adapter driver is installed and is working properly.
The LAN cable maybe faulty.
If the LAN cable is colored red then it is a crossover LAN cable and this is a special LAN cable for connecting two computers together without a network hub or router.
Try a another LAN cable..

I have a medion pc. I rebooted it a while ago and now it doesnt even have an option to connect to a wireless network. Please help.

Your missing the driver for the wireless connection object possibly. You can check this by going to devices not sure what Operating System your using XP or Win 7 You can find devices in the control panel go and check for anything wireless. Also not sure what you meant by rebooted the computer? I assume you redid the System again not sure if you did that or just rebooted the computer. Either way if there is no wireless connection coming up for you a driver is missing for sure. Also not sure if your using a USB Wireless Connector or a LAN R-45 cable or DSL or Cable. So my answer is going to be speculation only. If your using a wireless LAN card with antenna PCI then shut down the computer. Ground yourself and touch the case before touching anything inside. Then take the card out of the computer reboot then shut it down. Unplug and reverse the install place back in and restart it should find the card, if you have a disk for that card have it handy if not let hope Windows will pick it up if not you will have to get a driver for that card from another computer and download it then insert it into your computer to install the driver files for that card.
Second if your using a USB Wireless Stick provide the software for your Sick do no install the USB wireless device first install the software first then wait until it tells you to insert your device.
Obviously your not using a LAN connection R-45 cabling. So in short you will have to find the driver disc or go online elsewhere and download the card or device for your computer.
Another option is to go to control panel and look for wireless connections then look for place icon on task bar see if you have wireless at least showing.
I hope that this gives you some idea of what to do. ......John

I just built a CPU using the ASUS P8H67-M LX (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel H67 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. When I restart the computer or when its idle for a while it losses the internet connection....

Have you installed the lan driver from the asus site or the motherboard cd. Always use the drivers from the Asus site. Reinstall the Lan driver and see what happens. I have had many bad lan's on motherboards and end up fitting a pci lan card, then all is well. Also you should check your settings to make sure disconnect when idle is not ticked.
