Hello, I have a LaCie D2 525 Super Writemaster. Stopped reading CD, slowly flashing it'sLED. No image on desktop. Eject button doesn't react and paperclip insertion activates eject but tray is stuck.

Pushing in the paperclip should unlock it, but if still jammed, may have to wreck drive by pulling off front of drive drawer thing. Maybe try putty knife to push cd down some of that's holding it from opening.

When I put my mac in sleep mode and restart it I get a message that says I have not put my lacie hard drive away right. How do you do that.

The message you are getting is refering to removing the Lacie before disconnecting it.

Just as you eject a drive before unplugging the cables to prevent corruption you must do the same before going to sleep as turning off the power to your USB ports(which happens in sleep mode) is no different than unplugging the drive without ejecting the drive when the computer is running.

If your Mac is set to go to sleep and save power when it is not in use then you should only plug your Lacie in when you are using it and should eject the Lacie before going to Sleep.

Failure to do so will eventually result in a loss of data.

If you have already lost data from a Mac formatted Lacie drive then you should refer to the below link for assistance in recovering your files, if not simply follow the above steps and you should not have any problems as a result of your Mac going to Sleep.

My Lacie hard drive is not working

It Seems to me like when you unpluged it without properly ejecting it, that it partly corrupted the part of the ext. hard drive that is recignised by the pc to then recignise it and make it ready for you to use.

If it uses a power adpter to power it plug that in first, then plug it into you computer, and see if that works.
I hope I helped.
