Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Bad Reception Every time someone talks to me on my Razr, there is an extremely loud, electrical buzzing in the background, and I am very lucky when it is nonexistent. This problem began when I went off to college in Missouri (and I am from Minnesota), and I figured this was due to the on-campus wireless network interfering with reception. But the problem is still persisting even though I am now home for the holidays. Both of my parents have Razrs, as we are on a family plan, and neither of them experience this at all. Help me, please...

Re: Bad Reception you have tester? if you have do this,.,. without the bat ,put the testers in each side of the bat terminal,, then check if the cursor moves... then switch the tester in each side, again check if it moves... if both terminals upon switching moves .. man your phone is grounded .. go to your nearest service center to fix that..... and if only one side move... you have to replace your speaker (earpiece>) ....only professionals do it....tnx..

Buzzing noise while making a call

This happens at many phones due to the speaker which buzzes because of the waves made by the conversation. For example try calling someone and be near a desktop pc speaker or radio and you'll hear the same buzzing noise

Battery not staying charged

what kind of reception do you have in your area? If you don't have good reception it can really kill your battery. Is your bluetooth on all the time thats also a battery killer. Those a re the two i see the most in the shop. How much time do you talk on your phone? If you can get more than 2 hrs talk time the phone is actually doing pretty well. Mine straight out of the box only got about 16hrs on a charge. 6 - 8 hrs if i talked a lot!
Anyway there may not be much wrong. Just check your reception and see if your bluetooth is on all the time. Good Luck!

Phone call

This is most likely either a defective speaker, problem with the internal antenna, or a loose connection inside the phone. If the phone is in warranty, I would definitely contact your carrier and see what your options are for repair.

You may also want to try resetting the phone in the settings menu. Make sure you backup your data first, as it will most likely be wiped clean after the reset.

Do you notice this buzz only when you use the phone in a certain location, or do you get it anywhere you talk on it?

That sounds like a receiption problem one of those little booster stickers should help that. Just go to Best buy they are less than a dollar. If that doesn't help try someone else's phone with the same service provider in the same area and see if you still have the problem
