Question about Denon RC-8000 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control
I put my remote away for a few months. Today I charged it for about 20 minutes and when i touched the screen to use it i hear the usual beep but none of the funtions appeared on the screen. The screen has something that looks like barcode lines runing through it from top to bottom. not shure if it needs more time to fully charge or repair. i did notice that the light on the charging receiver was still red when i tried to use it. i would appriciate any help. Thank you. Carlos
Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Dear granggreen....Patrick here....
Even if you have performed these functions I want you to do them again. Remove the battery cover, remove the re-chargeable battery and it's blocks that hold it in position. Install new AA batterys, press the RE-SET BUTTON and hold for three seconds. If these steps prove nothing my instinks say that one or all Joy Stick discs are flat. Surgery is needed.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the quick reply. That is the link for the RC-8000 manual. I still need the actual software for my pc to be able to program it. Thanks. "
SOURCE: I need to replace the
Nickel-Cadmium battery will have a voltage of 1.2V. Four cells together with in series connection give you 4.8VDC, The number 8000 on Denon battery denotes, that it has a current rating of 8000ma [milliampere]. Most of the Ni-Cd batterys will have the same rating. You can use any company's prodcut, provided the size should be the same. That is all. Some battery packs will have 1 ampere capacity, can be used in place safely. No problem at all. OK.
