Have Samsung SGH-D820 cell phone. Need to unlock PIN. Can you provide PUK for PIN

Service Provider is Speakout Wireless, Canada, but they can not help me. The phone model is also not supported by Samsung Canada or USA.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

Phone purchased without service provider. Then bought SIM card from service provider (SPEAKOUT WIRELESS). They say Samsung has to give me PUK. Samsung says this model not supported in Canada or USA.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

Speakout wireless says the opposite. They say that since I do not have their phone, they can not help me and I must contact Samsung. Speakout has no information regarding my SIM or PUK.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

Please, I have spoke numerous times with both the service provider (SPEAKOUT WIRELESS) and Samsung. Neither can help me. If you can not provide me with a PUK, do not tell me to contact them or read the manual.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

There is $100 on the SIM card and I don't want to get another without the service provider transferring the time, which they don't want to do.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

This all sounded good and did procedure twice, and each time at the end it said that personal data not yet input. After that Iput the SIM card back in and phone said PIN locked and wanted the PUK to unlock it - so in the end it didn't work.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

00000000 is the default password, but it doesn't work as the PUK which is what its asking for.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

I am concluding that no one can help me and that my problem is impossible to solve.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

SPEAKOUT WIRELESS insists there is no PIN or PUK associated with the card - I have all the paperwork and see neither. You only call them to activate the phone.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

Don't understand instructions. When phone is turned on, it says PIN is locked, enter PUK.

  • barryboyce Nov 22, 2008

Doesn't work. If you install other SIM, it asks for PIN. Once you enter PIN, it wants apassword and 00000000 doesn't work.

Try to read this and understand the fact that the Default PIN code and PUK codes are being provided by the service provider
if they are not ready to help you ask for the suppervisor or tell them you are going to sue the company if they dont help you
Access codes
• The security code, supplied with the phone, helps to protect your phone
against unauthorized use. The preset code is 12345.
• The PIN code, supplied with the SIM card, helps to protect the card against
unauthorized use.
If you enter the PIN code incorrectly three times in succession, the SIM card is blocked. You must enter the PUK code to unblock the SIM card and set a new PIN code.
• The PIN2 code, supplied with some SIM cards, is required to access certain services.
• PUK and PUK2 codes may be supplied with the SIM card. If you enter the PIN or PIN2 code incorrectly three times in succession, you will be asked for the PUK or PUK2 code. If you do not have them, contact your local service provider.
Select Menu > Settings > Security settings to set how your phone uses the access codes and security settings.

Try this trick :-

Just got my S307 tonight and had enough spare time to mess around and try to unlock it. Anyhow, this worked for my phone, and it seems like it should work for most Samsungs from what I've seen posted.

1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 work, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes.

Unless try to use these codes :-

---SGH-600:

*2767*3855#

---S100, S300, V200:

*2767*7822573738#

---A300, A800

*2767*637#

---X100

*2767*688#

Thnx.

However, do check ur sim is active, coz if u try to enter wrong puk 10 tymes, it wld lock :((

But dot wrry dude, we have an idea 4 that as well.............However, reply as soon as possible if u r able to get success :))

and hey dot forget to lock this thread as Fixya, if ur issue wld be resolved :)

The only way you are going to unlock your phone, is by calling the service provider you are with, you will have to answer some security questions from when you first activatd it, and then you will be given a code to unlock your phone, this is the only way you will unlock it as each and every phone has a different code and only te service provider can provide you with the code. this will work if you do it the right way, there is no other choice.

The PIN or PUK no. that you are looking for can be provided to you by your Service provider. There is no technical solution for this. And if they are not able to do so get it unlocked from a local repair shop or contact Samsung.

Thanks

The puk code is simcard spesific, to obtain the puk code, you will need to phone your phone service provider the one who owns the sim card. sometimes when you buy a phone / sim card the puk code comes with it, especially in prepaid sim cards.

You really need to contact your service provider to obtain the PUK CODE

Posted on Nov 22, 2008

  • Ekse Nov 22, 2008

you are at a dead end street here, the code is at the company who owns the sim card. call them, if you don't beleave me request a refund and look for help somewhere else, you will be looking for months for something that you can't find.

Hi,

The only solution for that is to change a simcard. Go to service provider and buy a new one. There is no way to detect your puk code. Thank you.....

You'll need to phone your network provider Customer Services for your PUK code to unlock the SIM.
For security reasons, it's only the network operator that can legally provide you with a PUK code to unlock your SIM.

Getting a PUC code for this phone can prove difficult, you only get a few chances to input the code and the phone will "freeze" locking you out of the phone altogether, have a look and join this forum i will provide and scour the whole forum for the answer you need:

Hello Barry,

what mobil service provider do you currently have?

Barry, did you already tried to contact  Speakout Wireless?

The PIN and PUK codes are codes the SIM have. Not your Cellphone. The SIM card is the small card that is under your cellphone's battery.

You can either change your SIM card (by changing mobil service provider) or changing of plan.

Or you can simply contact  Speakout Wireless and they will give you another SIM card or help you retriving your PUK code.

You can contact  Speakout Wireless with the following link:
     http://www.speakoutwireless.ca/
Or at the Phone Number:  1-866-310-1023.

    Good luck,
    Dahaka

    Barry,

    You can Check the Manual:
    http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/conten...

    Where it say:

    • When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive
a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card
loaded with your subscription details, such as your
      PIN, and available optional services.(pg9)

    • “Enter PUK”
      • The PIN code has been entered incorrectly three
times in succession, and the SIM card is now
blocked. Enter the PUK supplied by your service
      provider. (pg 92)

  • Santiago Vallejo
    Santiago Vallejo Nov 22, 2008

    • If you enter an incorrect PIN/PIN2 three times in
succession, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock it, you
need to enter your PUK/PUK2 (Personal Unblocking
Key). The codes are supplied by your network operator.(pg90)

    Barry,

I dont know what to tell you.
    Speakout Wireless is wrong.
Maybe they think you are talking about your cellular security code. But they are wrong.
The PIN and PUK code both depends on the servide provider.

If you buy another SIM card, or ask them to change your number, or plan. they will have to change you the SIM card and supply you with new PIN and PUK codes.

  • Santiago Vallejo
    Santiago Vallejo Nov 22, 2008

Barry it is phisicly imposible for us to provide you with the PUK code.

We can sugest you solutions, but dont ask us somethimg that it is imposible for us to answer. When you recived your SIM card you recived a piece of paper that had both PIN and PUK.
We can suggest you solutions such as :

    • Searching for that Piece of Paper.

    • Not contacting Samnsung,Contacting Speackout Wireless (They are the only one who might have the PUK code for Their SIM card.

    • Ask SpeackoutWireless for another SIM card.

    • Change your mobile service provider.

  • Santiago Vallejo
    Santiago Vallejo Nov 22, 2008

    Barry,
The cellular phone model dosen't have anything to do with the SIM card's PIN and PUK.

Call again your service provider, Ask them what mobile phones are compatible with their SIM card. Then ask one of your firends to borrow him his cellphone. Insert your SIM into his cellphone and call Speakout Wireless again. Now you are on a compatible Cellphone, Then they MUST give you the PIN or PUK codes and then, onceyou know your SIM card's PIN or PUK, place the SIM card back on your phone, and when it asks for the PIN or PUK, simply imput the code you know.

  • Santiago Vallejo
    Santiago Vallejo Nov 22, 2008

    Barry,

The PUK code comes only after you have typed varous times the PIN code wrong.

Once again, you have to contact the service provider, They are the only ones aviliable to give you that code.

  • Santiago Vallejo

If your telephone asks PIN-code and you have forgotten it, you will need PUK code. PUK code is indicated on the card-certificate attached to your SIM-card. If you have lost your card-certificate, please call the network 5+ Service Center. If you have PUK-code: - After switching your telephone on, “Enter PIN-code” will be displayed. Enter any PIN-code. After you have entered incorrect PIN-code three times, “SIM-card. Blocked” will be displayed.. Please dial the following combination of symbols: *05*PUK-code*New PIN-code*New PIN-code* and press OK or Send.

  • smarttech Nov 22, 2008

    Complete information :
The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.

If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUK

    Note:

card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number

    • If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.

    • If the message Wrong PIN followed by Old PIN appears then it means that you have entered the old PIN incorrectly.

    To unblock your SIM card:

    1. When PIN Blocked appears enter your PUK > OK

    2. Enter a new four to eight PIN > OK

    3. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm > OK

    To edit your PIN:

    1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Change PIN

    2. Enter your PIN > OK

    3. Enter a new four to eight digit PIN to confirm > OK

To turn the SIM card On /Off

    1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Protection and select Onor Off

    2. Enter your PIN > OK

Unlock pin samsung SGH-X510 - how do I unlock the phone or find the pin number?

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin . If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.

Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.

Need puk code for my samsung sgh j600 please

Hi,

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUk if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

NOTE: You should ask your service provider..

Forgot my phone lock pin

Lost Pin cannot be recovered. You need to enter a wrong pin 3 times until you get the PUK code.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore.

if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times you will make the sim card useless and you will have to contact your phone service provider for a new sim card, it will probably cost.
