Boot into safe mode (f8 after you restart)
it will use vga mode for display
reset your resolution to somethig lower (1280 x 1024?) then reboot

SOURCE: analog out of range display on the screen

try the lcd monitor on another PC, if the same message pops out, your monitor needs reprogramming of its A/D board, bring it to a LG service center..

if it works fine on another PC, try to boot your PC on VGA mode..

Soyo monitor MT-NI-DYLM1998 "out of range."

Your windows 7 screen resolution is set too high and your display doesn't support it. There are 3 possible solutions to this problem:
1. Press F8 during startup and choose "Enable row-resolution video"
2. Press F8 during startup and choose "Safe mode" and change screen resolution there, then reboot.
3. You can always use another display (if you have one) to set screen resolution to lower value.

Monitor's resolution need to be increased, how?

Hi

You don't say which operating system you are using.

The monitor resolves images across a fixed range of resolutions and resfresh rates.

It is the resolution of the graphics card or graphics adapter that can be changed, not that of the monitor.

Right click on empty space on your desktop > properties > settings.

Left click and hold on the slider and slide to the right in stages.

Each resolution change offers you a test page to accept or reject.

When satisfied Apply > Yes > Ok.

To reset the Refresh Rate:

Properties > settings > Advanced > Refresh Rate.

Then restart your computer.

Be careful not to exceed the resolution/refresh rate range of your monitor (1280 x 1024) / 75.0 Hz because if you do, when you restart the computer, the monitor will be unable to resolve the image and you will get a blank screen and/or an Out Of Range error message.

An out of range problem might only be resolved by using a different monitor to reset the resolution back to within the range of the preferred monitor.

Hope this helps

Monitor just says out of range no matter what I do, I have switched the cords already

When a monitor is out of range it means that the computer is set up to a resolution that the monitor cannot handle

what you need to do is turn on your computer and tap F8 repeatably untill you confront a screen asking you what you want to do

you want Safe Mode with VGA

this will start windows in Safe mode (default settings for everything) and will set the resolution to 800x600 (smallest resolution supported by everything) when you are at the desktop you can just change the resolution of your screen normally

Windows Vista/7
right click the desktop > Screen resolution

Windows XP/98 etc
Right click the desktop > properties and it will be in there somewhere (don't have an XP machine in front of me sorry)

When computer boots up my screen says out of range but if I go to safe mode it works . What is out of range

When you boot up normally your computer sets the screen at the resolution you choose. In safe mode the screen's resolution is by default 800X600.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

StarLogic- Out of range

The computer needs its screen resolution reducing or changing in aspect ratio to suit the StarLogic monitor. Use a previously-working monitor and reduce the resolution on the computer to 1024 x 768 pixels or less (right-click an unused part of the desktop, click Properties and select Settings; slide the resolution slider to the left to adjust). The StarLogic monitor will now work; plug it in - do the resolution adjustment again as above, but increasing the resolution until you are happy. Going this way around, your computer will failsafe back to the previous (lower) resolution if the monitor says Out Of Range again, so you cannot lose the display along the way..

Monitor displaying out of range message

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

This usually happens when you select a resolution or a refresh rate that is beyond the monitor range. For example if your monitor supports a max. resolution of 1024x768 then if you give it a signal of 1600x1200 it will display out of range.

Solution of this problem is to reduce the resolution or refresh rate frequency.

Changing screen resolution in Windows XP: First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig 1.1 below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

The areas worth noting are:

Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor, but the standard options are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1152x864.

Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

How to Change the Screen Refresh Rate of Your Monitor loadTOCNode(2, 'summary');
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.

Alternatively, right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
  3. Click the Monitor tab, and then click the screen refresh rate that you want to use.
NOTE:
  • The default refresh rate setting is 60 Hertz (HZ); however, your monitor may support a higher setting. Check your manufacturer's documentation for information about the settings that your monitor supports.
  • If you use a higher refresh rate, you can reduce the rate that your screen flickers; however, if you specify a refresh rate that is too high for your monitor, your screen may become unusable and your hardware may be damaged.
  • Changes to the refresh rate affect all users that log on to the computer.

Input signal out of range

Did you mean "out of range". Try reloading video drivers. If that doesn't work, perhaps screen cannot use that resolution.
