I have the same model. Anything with a 1/4" plug will fit in the sustain port(unless it's an amp) in the back.

don't touch it or you will void your warranty
have it looked at under warranty or if the shop where you bought it has a replacement policy take it back there

Dear Sir/Madam. I Would be Very Grateful if You Would Help Me to be Able To Find The Instruction Manual For The Denon DMD M30 Mini Disc Player/Recorder So that I Can Learn How to Record on this Unit. I...

Hi Neville,

I can't find the DMD-M30 manual on the Denon website.

A lot of the other "free manuals" websites are not really very good and are just trying to get your email address so that they can send you spam email.

I would recommend trying to contact Denon directly.

Their details are:

Denon UK
Division of D&M Audiovisual Ltd.
First Floor, Imperial House
4-10 Donegall Square East
Belfast BT1 5HD
Northern Ireland
Tel.: +44 (0)2890 279830 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +44 (0)2890 279830 end_of_the_skype_highlighting
Fax: +44 (0)2890 312643

If Denon can't help you then I've found a company who will sell you a manual for £5.11. The link to their website is here:
http://www.chsinteractive.co.uk/electrical-components/misc/dmdm30-instruction-book-denon.htm

Alternatively if you think your unit may have a fault but still wish to record on minidiscs then I have found a DMD-M30 for sale on ebay with a current bid price of just £1.70 with 3 days remaining in the auction. The link is here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DENON-MINI-DISC-RECORDER-PLAYER-DMD-30-/260746909956?pt=UK_CE_Cassette_RL&hash=item3cb5ba1904

Please rate my answer if this has been helpful.

Kind regards,

Chris

Unable to play DTS-HD & True-HD

What do you hear? Do all other modes work ok?

If Audio Select (Page 44 and 98) is set to HDMI you will hear silence if no HDMI signal is present. I think AUTO is the best choice here.

-------

On Page 98 of the manual it says a bunch of things concerning automatic signal detection and input selection.

Initial configuration D) INIT. CONFIG
Use this feature to select the settings of the audio input jack select, active decoders and extended surround when you tum on this unit.
....

Audio select AUDIO SELECT
Use this feature to designate the default audio input jack select setting (see page 44) for the input sources connected to the DIGITAL INPUT jacks when you tum on the power of this unit.

HDMI set E)HDMI SET
Use this feature to select the component to play back HDMI audio signals.

Support audio S. Audio
Use this feature to select whether to play back HDMI audio signals on this unit or on another HDMI component connected to the HDMI OUT jack on the rear panel of this unit.
...

CHOICE = RX-V663

FUNCTION
Plays back HDMI audio signals on this unit. The HDMI audio signals input at the HDMI input jacks of this unit are not output to the HDMI component connected to the HDMI OUT jack on the rear panel of this unit.

CHOICE = OTHER
HDMI component connected to the HDMI OUT jack.

NOTES
This unit transmits audio and video signals input at the HDMI input jacks to the HDMI out jack only when this unit is turned on even if "S.AUDIO" is set to "OTHER".

I'd look in these areas for specific guidance.

SWA-4000 doesn't adquire signal of HT-TX500 Home Theather

I was having poor audio from the back speakers and didn't even know it; intermittently I'd hear them jump in volume, so myself being a little adventurous, decided to push the ID set button on the back, totally losing my ilnk... after digging and playing, I figured it out:
1.) Turn off the Head (main) Unit 2.) Power on the wireless receiver, being sure it is away from routers, other BT devices, etc. 3.) Push the "ID Set" button on the back of the wireless device and hold it until the lights on its front panel flash. 4.) Point the system's remote control at the Head Unit and punch in 0135.  Its light should turn from red to blue. 5.) Perform step 3 again. 6.) Power on the head unit.
Should link up.
Might be some redundancy there, but it works :)
Also I found that after a few cycles It seemed to work better (perhaps cycled to a better channel?)

ONKYO TX-SR805 Display screen does not light up.

Resetting the unit MAY work, however you will reset everything to factory and have to set it all up again. If resetting does not work, sounds like you will be looking for your local, friendly rrepair shop. Onkyo carries a two year warranty on these units, hopefully yours is still under. If not I would contact ONKYO directly because it seems they have had A LOT of problems with the screen on the 805 and 875 models

I wuold estimate that the rectifier section of the power supply has failed. I don't recall whether that unit uses a bridge rectifier or separate rectifier diodes. In any case, you are looking at $15 worth of parts or so. Add in your local labor rate for the total repair cost. This should be a simple repair for any shop that repairs audio gear.

I have a Casio Privia PX 110 key board and the foot pedal jack does not work. I have tested the foot peal at the music store and it works. How do i fix it?

please bring a lubricant contact cleaner from radio shack near you and apply the spray in foot pedal socket(the place which you put your jack)and then put your jack in and out many times.if this can not solve your problem you have to pass your keyboard to service center.

Shuts down at high volume

If you have your reciever in an entertainment center that is enclosed or a tight fit for the reciever you need to remove it and put it on top of the center. I have a VR407 and it was doing the same thing. This keeps your unit much cooler and the overheat relay will not turn it off. also I found it much easier to add or wire components much easier.
