Question about Philips 60PP9401 60" Rear Projection Television
I have a philips 55 inch tv model # 55pp935217 and it was on an aux channel and we were just about to turn our playstion on when it flashed a red line horizonaliy on the screen then a green dot about an 1/8 of an inch was there and has been ever since i also have very faint curved lines of red green and blue on the top and bottom of my screen and a blue haze around everything white any help with any of the problems are greatly appreciated thanks
The haze is prob from bad fluid in one of more of the tubes, this is common problem with these. replace conv ic's.

The green dot in the center sounds like a burn mark on one or more of the picture tubes inside the set, and the curved lines are telling me that you have a problem in the convergence circuits. The blue haze around everything white tells me you either have a lot of dust build up on the lens over the CRTs, or your picture tube(s) are very weak. If this set is over about 12 years old, I would replace it. I doubt if you will be able to get the green dot out of the picture without changing the tubes which would be VERY expensive.
