You will need to boot in safe mode (f8 after restart) and try the administrator account. If you do not know the the password for any account you will need to create a boot disk to reset the password.

This is a good place to start:

I have used this many times to reset passwords on XP systems:

When I got my laptop and made a user, it asked for a password, but I forgot what my password was(could have been a typo). So I just made a different user with a password that I can remember. And now...

If you new user is an Administrator you can reset the original user password or delete the user. The exact method will depend on the operating system. Post your operating system and I will provide more details.

Had a problem with Toshiba Satellite A205-S5800. Could not remember password, or the laptop created a new password after 3 tries at trying to remember. Ran recovery disc, and now the HDD password box...

Power the laptop off. Unplug it. Remove the battery. Turn it over. Open the bottom panels. Look for a small battery. Unplug this battery. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. RE-Assemble everything. Turn it back on - hopefully it has cleared the settings and you will be prompted to enter the BIOS.

When i turn on my toshiba a135-s2276 ,,its asking for password.. pls help on how to resolve it. many thanks effie

Did you not set a password? I've never heard of them setting a password by itself. Have you tried just hitting the enter key? My PC used to ask me for a password, even though it knew I didn't have 1, when I had other user accounts on my PC. I took those off, so it doesn't ask anymore. But before that, all I had to do was hit enter, because I had no password. Give it a try. :)

Toshiba model psaanu 04n029 when i turn on black screen comes up and has a blue box asking for a password have tried everything I can think of

You need to break the password and log into the computer again.
Once reboot the computer with CD/DVD/USB,remove the lost or forgotten password and then log in to your computer withoutany password. Hereis its official website, Hope it helps

I cant remember my master password so my computer wont start up. i dont know how it happened but when i turn it on it asks for a password before it boots up. its a toshiba satellite model number...

You can remove a BIOS password by removing the CMOS battery for about 1/2 hour. Find a manual on your system to help, if you don't know where it is.

This is a known issue with some newer Toshiba laptops. The laptop can set the BIOS password on its own and I believe it happens because of a glitch in the BIOS.

Be sure to go to the Toshiba website and get all the updates for your model, once you're back in.

I have a toshiba laptop and as soon as i turn it

This is a "feature" to prevent anybody who has stolen your laptop from using it.

Find your original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the owner, and telephone Toshiba, and ask for help.

Ihave a problem with My Toshiba Laptop, when i turn the computer on, black screen it appears and asked me to put apassword , this happens after a many time of tries to put my password of the operation...

are you trying to connect thru a router? If so then you need to ask whoever set it up or uses it, for the password,it's really the encryption key if not the network, ask te boss. good luck, from what you wrote it isn't clear if this only happens at a particular location, or every whare. If it happens everywhere then whoever installed the operating system, used a password, and they need to be contacted, I can tell you how to buypass that but try doing what I suggested as it will be a lot easier

Nothing for Vista for Free. Sorry. I've always wondered why people use passwords, and why they forget them . If you need a password, you need to remember it, I think.
There are plenty of sites where you can find the information you need, but this probly isn't one of them.
Good luck
