Go to the control panel ...add new devices...and run the wizard..whenit asks select already conected...and if the driver is already installed and is the right one ...select automatic installing ...
I do not understood by pick up ..but I supposed that you do not find it ...after installing you will find the picture taker,,ito the My computer ...and the actually AM cap...in all programs...( sometimes it gets another name ...ex: pc cam 601....or ....webcam D34 etc..)
but the idea that the capture starter is into all programs...
for the actually use on the IM programs ...it will start from each IM program apart ...ex ...from the conversation window..in the right bottom for yahoo messenger ...and so on ..
Good luck ...

Hi there.

Can you let us know the model of the webcam? Normally, the webcam driver could be found from the manufacturer's website.

Thank you!

I lost my cd of creative webcam nx now i need the software and the drivers for windows 7. can someone help me?

Looking through the Creative Labs website, the latest drivers for this is at XP. I would assume both Vista and 7 would pick up the drivers automatically for the latest hardware.

However, the link to download the software for this webcam can be found via the following link:
http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=218&subCatID=847&prodID=627&prodName=WebCam%20NX&subCatName=WebCam%20Series&CatName=Web%2BCameras

The downloads are at the bottom of the page linked to above.

Hope this helps.

Cant get computer to recognize web cam

The Quickcam Pro 9000 is only compatible with PC, Windows XP SP2 at least.

If your virtual PC runs Windows 7, there is a known issue running it in Windows 7. If this is the case, I suggest to contact the manufacturer.

There is one made for MAC though; QUICKCAM vision PRO. Manufacturer's part number is 960-000254.

Hope this helps! Please don't forget to rate or vote. All the best!

Where do i found in a website a webcam driver? ,my web cam is logitec

Logitech has the Windows drivers for their webcams at their site.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3056&hub=1&selectedcrid=435&selectedcid=3056&cl=us,en?section=downloads

Just pick your OS (XP, Vista or 7)

I hope this helps.

If its a dark screen what you can see then you can do one thing "on the cam window under OPTIONS check/uncheck the PREVIEW option" and check if its working.
If it says "no video capture device found" then the drivers you have installed are not fully compatible with VISTA, for this you can do one thing---
1. Remove the previously installed webcam drivers, delete the installation folder from Program Files if its still there, disconnect (unplug) the webcam, reboot the system , Scan the registry using ccleaner (freeware).
2. Install the program you use to access the web cam (eg: amcap etc).
3. Now attach the webcam (be connected to the internet), when the driver installation screen pops up click "Install automatically" it will search for the system files for the drivers or go to the windows update (this works many times) if not found.

Once done & successfully installed the webcam shall work fine now.

Trying to find the software to instal webcam on notebook

Hi,

You can download from Creative.

http://asia.creative.com/support/downloads/

Pick web cameras, then webcams, then your model, then next, then pick your language and operating system.
