''This item is missing or can't be played.''

Ok, all my Songs that i try to play says this message. "This item is missing or can't be played."

So one day i was listening to my zune on the bus. I went to shuffle songs all of a sudden it freezes on me...

So i went ahead a restarted it by press ing the back arrow <- and down. Once it restarted all my music got deleted!

BUT THE NAMES OF MY MUSIC STILL APPEARS BUT WHEN I JUST PLAY IT, IT JUST GIVES ME THE MESSAGE.

Is there a solution?

Last night my zune worked perfectly fine

and then this morning the "rights to this file are etc etc. sync to PC" thing that I've annoyingly gotten before, came up so I just thought I had to plug it in and wait for it to sync and the rights to re-new or whatever.

But that's when the UPDATE message popped up on the computer screen so I thought I'd update it to the 3.1

So of course like a half an hour later when it's all done and my PC has restarted, I do the actual device update. When that's done, I check to see if the Rights are good, and that's when the "This item is missing or can't be played." comes up.

My dad suggested that the update was corrupted, thus getting all the files corrupted, but the only way to fix that is if I unsync then resync all of it.

The problem with this is that I have over 1000 songs spread out on 2-3 computers and one of those computers busted, and the majority of the files on my zune were on that computer.

I really don't want to have to unsync then resync then find the lost files and re-download them.

Is there any way I can unsync my zune and resync all the files that I just unsynced? Or any way to just avoid this process all together and fix it another way?

I have a new computer and my zune will show that it is syncing but half the songs are now "missing or can't be played" My old computer died. I have all the songs from my zune in my collection when I sign into zune but they will not play on my zune.

I have had so many problems with this zune! I spent 1/2 hour on the phone with the helpdesk got nowhere but frustrated!

My pictures and videos wouldn't play, because it said they were missing.I had to delete them from the Zune and sync them again. Now my music will not play, and I cannot risk deleting all of it!!! Not all of my music is in my collection, so I would have to add it all, and it would take days. Also, my Zune is a 30 gb if that helps.

My ipod nano keeps playing the same song over and over, even on shuffle.

The shuffle setting is essentially random, which does _not_ mean that you won't hear the same song again until all other songs play. You might even hear the same song twice in a row, I suppose.

Are you hearing the same group of songs, and your other songs _never_ play?

If you scroll manually to a song that you haven't heard, and start play from there, does it revert to that same group songs, or play on to others?

All else failing, have you tried to restore your iPod?

Have you tried changing the playback settings in your iTunes preferences? You should be able to adjust the setting to make it _less_ likely for songs to repeat. I don't know how that would transfer to the iPod..

Hope this message can be fix to your ipod nano.
