Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3i Cellular Phone

Text msgs go to sim card memory instead of phone memory

Text messages received go to my sim card, which has limited memory, therefore I cannot receive large messages, such as those containing pictures. Meanwhile the phone memory is almost empty. How can I change it to make incoming messages go to phone memory? The manual doesn't address this at all.

For some reason, my menu doesn't have a 'text message set up' selection.

Hi I have a Samsung Corby S3650 and I keep getting the same messages from people who have messaged me, over and over again. what should i do to stop that???

This problem is generally seen when messages get stored on the sim card. generally sim cards have space for 20-30 msgs before phone memory gets occupied. I would recommend you to keep your sim card memory full always (as in keep some msgs permanently on the sim without deleting). To check memory usage, go to main menu-> messages -> memory status-> text messages (from top right drop down). The second row shows sim card memory status

I have Samsung L700. I have a problem that the incoming text messages are stored in SIM memory by default, which has capacity of only 10 messages. It is required that incoming text messages should go...

Unfortunately, there is no way this can be done. the phone fills up the SIM memory, only then it goes to phone SMS memory. But as a solution you can transfer msgs from Phone memory to SIM memory

My lg versa isnt sending text msgs. every time i try, it says it failed then it tries again then says message not sent. invalid destination. i have the right number and ive turned it off a bunch of times...

Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network),
not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding the text messages,
the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number,
or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.

If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset,
then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell
them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

You can check the message center number, but I don't think
it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try,
just check the text message settings and verify that the message
center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which
is on another phone with the same network (the other Sim should be
of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes
and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings..
(I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with
me, please excuse me for this.).

If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset,
don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it,
first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

Hope that helps.

Hey John

Issue is not with your phone.. Your wife's phone or network might have a problem.. Wat about the msgs sent to others from your wife's phone.. Check the message centre number in your wife's phone.. If it's correct(Find it from the network provider) remove it and restart the phone. Or try entering the same message centre number. (No proofs, but stillthis cliche works... Try restarting the phone, remove the sim and insert it properly again.. Use a different sim in your wife's phone, send a few msgs, check it works.. then try sending msgs from your wife's sim from her phone).. Reply back if it works...

Text Memory

I've had this phone since it came out and have used it with both the memory card and without it. The limit is the limit it has always been about 115 messages or something very close to it before it will stop receiving or sending messages due to the lack of memory. Maybe it was all in your head. Perhaps?

Text Messaging

That's a problem the Network Service Provider should be able to solve. I don't think it's your phone.
Remember to delete msgs, when you no longer need them. The phone only has a set amount of memory.
Phonebook 500 x 16 fields, Photocall
Call records 20 dialed, 20 received, 20 missed calls
Card slot microSD (TransFlash), up to 2GB, 64 MB card included - 6 MB internal memory
