Question about Tatung V30DMTT 29.6 in. LCD Television
Hello, I went to turn on my Tatung 30" LCD today and found that it wouldn't display anything on the screen. The little status light on the front that is orange when it's turned off or in stand-by and green when it's in-use is gone. I unplugged it and plugged it into some different outlets. Each time it made a slight poping sound when I plugged it into the wall, but it still won't turn on and the status light still won't come back. Anyone have any idea what's wrong or what to do?
This isn't a permanent solution, but it has worked for me. The first time I found out about this solution was when the status light went out on my Tatung. I just left it unplugged and didn't plugged it back in for about a month and a half just to see what it would do. When the status light came back on, I knew if it ever did it again, I could try the same thing. Well, a week ago last Sunday, the status light went out again, so I just kept track of when it went out and when I plugged the power cord back in to see if the status light would come back on. Today when I plugged the power cord in, the status light came back on. That was 9 days. I don't know if it could be less than that because the last time I plugged it back in to see if the status light would come on was around last Friday. So it might have worked sooner. Anyway, this seems to work for me. I don't know what is causing it to lose power in the first place, but at least I know what to do.
