i think it could be the latching system im not sure if its electronic latch or spring start by looking there if its electronic latch take it in to a shop if its spring latcg maybe the end of the spring just needs putting back on

Sorry, i haven't a solution just wondered if u new where i could find the audio and video leds for this product asi have tapes but can't transferethem to vhs, dvd, avi without the leads, hope you can help me....George..

I don't know about downloading to a computer, but you can buy a VCR/DVD recorder for about $140, put the VHS-C cartridge in the adapter and transfer to a DVD, or plug your Camcorder into a DVD recorder (about $119) and copy. It couldn't hurt to check out some of the transfer services that could do a little editing and copying for a modest fee.
