Find the song in my computer under my music, Right click on the song file and hit open with... windows media player. File should convert and store on wmp. Then you should be able to sync your player.

Downloading files from mp3 players

If the files are not on the PC, Windows Media Player will not see them. You can manually manage the music from My Computer. Double-click on the device name Sansa m230 and you can see the files and folder. You can just drag and drop these onto your computer to save them. You might also want to format the device to remove everything and give you a clean slate. Right Click on Sansa m230 and select format. Best of Luck.
