Check that your Fn key is not stuck, enabling other functions. Or that the fmode key (if you have one), is turned off when you are not using it.

Type character map in your windows search box and select the font you require. You may need to download the windows language pack for each language you use.

I recently replaced mobo of nv 52, now keyb doesnt work optimal, only 689+-8[yrewkl 1 keys. tried playing with connector, no dice. i type with onscreen kb now. plse advise

If your external keyboard works fine then it is most likely your laptop keypad problem. otherwise the replaced mobo has problem in its keypad connector point. was it a repaired mobo or completely new one?
Keypad is cheaper in e-bay but buy with caution. there are too many without obligation to humans.

Internet font is way too small

If you have a scroll mouse then hold the CTRL Key, and roll the wheel, and this will, make your Fonts, bigger or smaller, as you wish. If no scroll mouse, then hold down the CTRL Key and pump the PLUS or MINUS Key on the numeric keypad to adjust the size up or down.

Ican"t type numbers can you please help

From Dell user manual:
The numeric keypad functions like the numeric keypad on an external keyboard. Each key on the keypad has multiple functions. The keypad numbers and symbols are marked in blue on the right of the keypad keys. To type a number or symbol, press <Fn> and the desired key after enabling the keypad.
  • To enable the keypad, press <Num Lk>. The keyboar2.jpg light indicates that the keypad is active.

  • To disable the keypad, press <Num Lk> again.
