When something is scanned (network scanning) into our Xerox 250, it scans the document, the "job in memory" light comes on, then the "online" light comes on. After 30 or so seconds, the printer will start beeping. 3 beeps, skip a beat, 3 beeps. The scanned file never makes it to the destination. We have checked permissions, accounts and passwords, configs. Nothing has changed. Any idea what is causing this??

Hi Anonymous / Kenneth,
I assume you must have this problem sorted by now. ( 2012.)
Perhaps there's a firmware up grade you could look into?
Perhaps you must have to check this problem with your Xerox Concessionaire.
The 016-783 error message indicates that “Cause – Could
not find the specified server path during file”.
The folder that the Xerox scanner job template uses to deposit the
scans in had previously been deleted, so I had recreated the shared
network folder. What I had neglected to do though was to recreate the
sub-folders that the Xerox Job Templates use for the scans.
After recreating the subfolders that the file repository setup
referenced in the job template I had no more error codes with that
scanning job template.
I have a Canon ir 3045 copier. I had sucessfully scanned two documents but the third scanned document (107 pages) was not emailed to me. When I click on press details, the job type reads #801. how do i retrieve the document?
I need more information, like is it scanning using the SMB protocol or FTP. Are you using active directory, etc. Usually, when they just quit, it is due to a Microsoft security patch, or a software firewall having been enabled. If you're sure that it is neither of the above, try browsing to the Xerox via the IP address, go to the properties tab, services, network scanning, file repository set-up, and see if the login name used for network scanning is qualified: (i.e. - domain\username) Often, in a business environment, that will help.
