Question about Cooktops
I just installed a Kenmore 42739 cooktop and fear there is not enough support under it. I installed the retaining brackets as directed (on center sides of cooktop, one screw in bottom of cooktop to attach it to L bracket that attaches to counter and dropped it in so the edge is resting along our tile (about 1/4 inch overhang onto tile). Is this enough to support the weight of things I cook?. Thanks!
Yes. It is. i always feel weary when i see it to however the top is not glass its ceramic so it is a little stronger.if you are in fear wrap tape all the way around the top and tight. if the top is tempered then wrapping the tape around it would make it almost indestructable.
