Re: no picture 6 blinks
This could be as simple as a bad cap in the 5V supply line. If you have the service manual, check components on that supply line for shorts. Look first for filter caps tied to ground. Also, you can cehck the 5V regulator. If that is defective, it will generate the same error code.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

If the TV turn itself off then perform the following steps:
(i) Check if the Sleep timer is activated.
(ii) Check if the Parental Guide prohibits viewing during that time and/or limits amount of viewing time per day.
(iii) Check the batteries on your remote, low battery power may cause random signals from the remote.
(iv) Disconnect all the cables from the TV then reconnect them after a few hours.
(v) Ensure the power cord from the TV is directly connected to a functional wall outlet.
(vi) You may also try resetting the TV to the original factory settings by pressing the Reset button on the remote control supplied with the TV when in Menu.
The following is the information indicated by the blinking patter of the standby/timer lamp on the TV:
2 times : Power does not come on. Load on power line shorted.
3 times : The TV has entered standby mode.
4 times : Has entered standby state after horizontal raster. Vertical deflection pulse is stopped. Power line is shorted, or power supply is stopped.
5 times: No raster is generated. CRT Cathode current detection reference pulse output is small.
6 times: No picture
9 times : No sound
Furthermore, the TV is equipped with a self-diagnosis function that you can use to determine whether the issue is related to any hardware malfunctioning. Perform the step given below to run self diagnosis:
Quickly press the remote command button in the following order from the standby state.
Display -------> Channel 5 ---------> Volume -(minus) --------> Power ON.
If the Self Diagnosis display numeral "1" for any parameters then a fault has been detected and service will be required.
6 times, Diagnosis: LOW B OCP/OVP (Overcurrent/over voltage). Possible causes: +5 line is overloaded. (A, B boards), +5 line is shorted. (A, B boards). Symptoms of the problem: No picture. This may help the solution or let no what is wrong!!
