New pen and airbrush. How do you change the nibs?

I have a new SE-A4 WACOM Intuos3 Graphics Tablet with Pen and Airbrush. I am waiting for my new high end Graphics computer yet to be perchased, so can't load the software and find instructions. I have a nice new pen and airbrush with it and several nibs for different textures etc but don't know how to change from one nib to another. There is little to unscrew or take apart to get to fix it and not wanting to damage them, I require to know how this is done please. Ashley ;o)

Hello there. You just have to pull it out. It may require some tweezers or some such device, but that's how it been for a very long time. You must grab the nib by the nib.

Why won't my wacom grip pen click when it touches the tablet instead of hovering and selecting text?

Have you tried pulling the nib out (the end bit you draw with)? It could be that something is sticking the nib further inside the pen than it should, which is telling the pen you are applying pressure. As far as I know there is a little spring inside the pen that the nib pushes on when you touch the pen to the tablet. Perhaps the spring is permanently squished in.

Someone must of dropped my pen and now it is missing the clicker on the side. Wondering if they sell parts for those or should I just purchase a new pen? I have a Wacom tablet, model # XD -0608 U

They sell spares on the wacom website.  Just click on the estore tab and you'll fine your tablet near the bottom.  They have switches, nibs and grips for the pen - the switch currently costs €6.50.  Pens cost €101.

Wacom intuos3 pen is not working

A few hours ago Wacom released a new driver 6.1.2-5 for the Windows 7/Vista/XP operating systems. I was having the same problem. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix!

When I place my mouse on the pad everything it touches opens and the menus vibrate wildly. If I use my pen everthing is stable. How do I fix?

i have the exact same problem! i thought my tablet was cracked, but when i got a new pen the problem went away! perhaps to solution lies with a new pen? though that might be costly... try rotating out the old nib for a new one.. i don't know for sure though :P I just know that the problem went away one day !

Wacom GP110 pen tip replacement

Just grab the tip with a pair of tweezers and pull it out. It'll come out pretty easily, and you can slide the new tip in its place.

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.

Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.

Everything works fine now.

Classic Pen Woes

Hi , Mnemosyne , i'm the Guest who had the exact same of your problem , i contacted WACOM and there solution was as follow : " This problem is, although uncommon, usually easily fixable. The first and fastest solution is to simply press the eraser a few times to release it from binding on the side of the pen. If that does not work, pull the white plastic nib, and take a fingernail file (LIGHTLY) to the back end of the nib, making sure to remove any burs or flaring from the nib. I have seen this problem myself, albeit uncommon " , they also suggested if all fails then change the nib ( and thats exactly what i did , i changed the plastic nib with the felt nib - i like it better anyways thats why i didn't bother filing the plastic nib - and WALA my problem was solved and the pen is working like a charm , hope this helps .
