Can I use a 2 wire router with dishnetwork dvr for upgrades

Can I use the 2wire homeportal router with dishnetwork receiver to connect to the internet? If so how? Right now all I'm getting is 2 green lights, but it can't find a boardband link to go green on the 3 rd light.

Hello smithonline,
You will not be able to use another vendor's modem with being on thier network.
