I have contacted Kareen C., but the info she sent was not useful. I suspect that my problem is the Printhead. I have replaced both print cartridges and cleand the Printhead twice. Still al blanks. It had been running fine for several montha. Then it started blanking and finally prints only blank sheets. I am not interestrd in printing photos. Just B/W documents.
See my post that I just put. I just called Kodak and they said that it is the print head. THe black or the color may stop working for no good reason. I had this issue w/ my 5300. It was fine, then 3 minutes later the black stopped. Cleaning the heads won't work.
Call the Kodak customer service line (found on their contact website) and they will set up a case and send you the print head(s) for free. They'll ask for your service number (which is located on a sticker on the bottom left corner of the machine, where you'd change the ink). They didn't ask the age, how often I use it, where/when I bought it....nothing - just what that number was, and what the problem was.
It takes 2-3 business days to send you the print head though - so ughhh to that, but it is free! Yippee! If you are okay with this - I changed the color of my text to blue (since my black wouldn't print) and I printed temporarily everything in blue (until I ran out of color ink!)
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Print a self test diagnostic page to check the status of the black ink and print heads. For models that support networks: Press (Configuration Page button). If these are all showing OK then clean the printheads To clean the printheads If printed characters are incomplete, or dots or lines are missing from printouts, ink nozzles might be clogged and you might need to clean the printheads. NOTE: Cleaning uses ink, so clean the printheads only when necessary. The cleaning process takes up to 3.5 minutes. Some noise might be generated in the process. • Control panel: Press and hold (Power button), press (Cancel button) two times, press (Resume button) one time, and release (Power button). If this fails then replace the black cartridge and run a clean cycle again and then a self test diagnostic then try printing again.

If so, you may need to replace the printhead. This is a very common problem with this model. You have to contact Kodak to be sent a new printhead to fix the problem. You click through the support on Kodak and then they automatically send out a new print head. To get the link to this on-line support chat with the live tech support and they can direct you where to go to find this solution. Kodak Live phone support is available in English and Spanish at 1-800-421-6699, 9 A.M. to midnight Eastern time, 7 days a week. Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
K...Trust the solution. Try these steps. Open the printer, remove the ink and remove the printhead (See User's guide). Reseat the printhead and the ink cartridges. The printer will come up with an error message that requires calibration. Do the calibration and scan the sheet that prints right after by pushing the start button. In the menu options, clean the printhead. Do one basic and one deep. Print a demo sheet (another menu option) to see if the quality has gotten better. If it has not call Kodak AiO Tech support. You will need a replacement printhead.
will print blank? try to do this, remove the cartridge and the printhead, put it back again. perform a deep clean by press menu>clean printhead>deep clean print a demo sheet by pressing menu>print demo sheet if it fails then contact kodak..
