I need a blackberry 8800 micro SD bay replaced. Can you tell me who has them and where I can find either a printed procedure or a video procedure for installing it. I do have some electronics background.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Things You'll Need:
<span>Micro SD card</span>
Insert a micro SD card into the phone's SD slot. The size is not that important, though I recommend at least 1 GB<br />
Open your regular BlackBerry Browser and put http://www.operamini.com/download/wap/ in the address bar.<br />
Select your phone type and model.<br />
Download the program to your SD card when prompted and answer "yes" to all the installation questions.<br />
Select your preferences and you'll be ready to browse.<br />
ebay is your best bet. Below is a link on how to disassemble and reassemble the unit to replace the keypad. Look for Blackberry 8800 replacement keypad, and if you can, choose one that comes with the tools for the job.
you may be able to use the bluetooth to transfer all your files but i am not 100% sure . i do have a blackberry 8110 pearl and can do it with bluethooth .
give it a go but depending of the model it may or may not work .
If your phone is a GSM phone meaning the phone has a SIM card usually T-mobile or At&t, tell your son to call customer service and tell them that he needs the unlock code for his phone, if he has been with the company for more than 90 days they will give it to you with out any hassle, they might ask why you need it, tell them he is traveling over seas, they will email you the unlock code wihin 48 hours, free of charge, when you get your new service provider they will issue you a new SIM card which you will put in the phone once it powers up it will ask you for the unlock code.
There is another way if you dont mind paying a few bucks, check out this link. let me know if this helps
