Question about HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I downloaded the software from my HP Officejet 7210 from the hp website and I do not have any icons, etc. for HP Director. The printer works, but the other functions do not (scanning, faxing, etc.). I called HP and they told me that it was a common problem called "linking" but that it would cost me $35.00 for them to fix it. I declined.
FROM THE HP WEBSITE:
If you’ve recently upgraded to the new Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), and you have a Hewlett Packard scanner or printer/scanner, then you will almost certainly be experiencing problems with starting it.
However, we have a workaround for you here! Just follow these very simple steps to get around the problem:
Don't install/uninstall IE7 and then use Firefox or some other web compliant browser instead.
